The garage is 6mx6m (I think that is about 20'x20')

The last picture I have tried to make a sketch of the planned interior. I am open for tips!

Looks great!! I would love to start from scratch like that!! My only question is: Are you going to plant grass on the roof? :wtf: :bounce:

Welcome

Looks good, Chris. Have fun with it. Oh yeah, don't appologize for bad English, I don't think there are too many members here that can speak fluent Swedish.

Hi chris. Nice build, post some more pictures so we can see the progress.
Im also from sweden and im planning to build something simulaire to what you are doing.

Nice looking place. Congratulations. I like the clay tile roof. My english word for it....scary, working at that pitch!

Welcome.

Neat to see building practices in other countries. For example, what's the stuff on the roof? And how do they plan on attaching the walls to the floor (I see no bolts in the foundation)?

The walls are attached to the foundation with expanderbolts. The stuf on the roof is made from a kind of concret and then they have applides some kind of paint on it. Very common here in Scandinavia.

Hej Joakim!

I hope its okay that i write some in sweden, becose i have a hard time with some tecnical terms in english.

But in big i asked him what type of material he is using to cover the sides of the garage + talking about pro and cons about using diffrent types of roofs.

I did send out a list of all things I needed for the garagebuild and then I picked the shop that had best prices. Under the woodpanel on the walls I have used somtheing they call windpapper (vinpapp) it is a kind of papper impregnated with asfalt.

On the roof under tile you can have 2 kind of system, one is like I have done with special plastic firts and then I have used 45mmx70mm that I have put the tiles on. The other system is to put wood (råspånt) all over the roof and then some smaller wood ribbons that holds the tiles.

Pictures from inside

First I had to build an temporary wall where the garagedoor will be placed. Otherwise I could not get it warm inside to be able to paint. Here are some pictures from last weekend.

I am the electrian :) I don´t want to mount anything on the wall until I have painted it, that´s why all the tubes are hanging loose

The colours will be
ceiling: white
walls: white and lightgrey (from floor about 80cm) and then a black strip and then a bigger blue strip. I can try to make a sketch at home and put it up here. The pattern will be same as some garages I have seen here but different colours...

Painting pictures

Now I have started to paint inside. I painted the white first. In the last picture you can see the used kitchen cabinets that I will mount on the wall. All doors will be painted blue. Cheep way to get cabinets.

Pictures from todays work

Today I have done some more painting and cleaned up the tubes for the electricity. The wall where the garagedoor will be mounted is now painted so I can start to mount the door.

Wow, interesting conduit/tubes for the wiring. Is that required by code there?

Yes when you are using wires you have to use the tubes. If you just use cables (where all wires are in one cable) you can install it without tubes.

Garagedoor

Today I have mounted the garagedoor. It+s hard work when it was the first time I install a door like this and I did all the work by myself.
