I don't know but it sounds like a good problem to have. Lucky you !! What I want to know is where you you would mount the receptacle. 6 ft. off the floor ?? 10 ?? Drop down off the ceiling ? I'm pre wiring for a lift and haven't been able to figure this out. /:

All you should need to hook up is the power wires which are the white and black coming out of the switch/motor. The white and black are the two hots (L1 & L2) the green is the ground wire. Not sure what the other wire that was supplied is for. What does the install manual show?

Edit: That red, blk, white, green wire you got, did you get the optional air/power station for the lift that has 120V outlets?

This is how its wired.....

You will have 2 hots with a ground from your panel. You will bring that into the box on the lift motor. Your bare ground will connect to the green wire. The white to the white. (Though these should be re designated in red to signify hot.) The black from the panel will connect to one of the wires in the 4 conductor so cable for the limit switch. That one will hook to the "com" on the micro switch. Connect another to the "nc" on the switch and run to the black on the lift.

EDIT: Here is a photo I found here on the forum .

Hello Canada 67. I have my new Benpak xpr-10 installed but am also confused by the wiring. It sounds like I need a black white and green 10g wire running from my 30 amp single phase 220 breaker in my panel to the motor. Then some sort of magic is required to wire in the micro switch.....

Were you successful in getting your's wired?

If you use 10/2 NM (Romex) wire from your 240V 2 pole breaker to the lift you will have a black/white/bare ground. In the last diagram the black can be the “B” wire and white can be the “C” wire and bare ground is the “A” wire. Or in the diagram I posted the Black and White are L1 & L2. It doesn't matter if the black and white are reversed with 240V. Remember to tape the white wire as red or black if you use Romex.
