Old night garage. Low budget project.

I come from Denmark and after I here looked a little on your forum I would also like to make a topic ..

I have this steel house from 1960. of 70m2 and garage 30m2
But I must have made a low budget workshop in the coming years.

I roots a little, but it's mostly because I've got a lot of projects at once.

This is written with google translator.

I like this building a lot. That tall door is very nice. If that building is in good shape you can have a great shop in it. Thanks for posting and keep us updated on your progress!

building on the picture is from 1960.

It is actually in good shape.

A few years ago we took all floor up and wanted cast new concrete floor, but because of unemployment we could not afford to make new concrete floor.

An old picture.

Yes it is a big project.
Many of the materials are recycled.

Either from the buildings I've taken down or things I've found around.

Nice setup you have there, from another Dane!
Typical old Danish pig farm being converted to private use.
Just like my own little place, mine just from around 1911 or so.
I see you like Manta's or is it Opel in general?
Keep it the pictures coming.

I am most to German cars.

But there is something special about manta, I have two of them.
An original and one to be built for the race track. The blue one ..

Another Dane checking in to say hi :)

Looks like you certainly have plenty of projects going on which is something I personally try to avoid in fear of getting totally stessed out. Usually I try to start and finish one major project at a time and I never set a fixed deadline (got enough of those at work).

So I really admire you and others who embark on multi projects

I got to agree, really nice job.

I glance thru a few build threads but went back to look at pics in this one. You have some straight walls and the roofs don't seem caved in, second, the buildings seem fairly large or adequate to do some work in, the layout for a small shop here is pretty good.

I like the recycle aspect here, have good materials to work with to get the fundamentals enclosed. It could carry this project a long way. I am not usually a fan of hard assed labor but it works here and is probably cost effective given the used materials etc.

How many men? Family job? I was thinking of building a home in this nature, the cost of living along the way gets to be a problem if its too tediuous. This kind of project is super suited to a builder with a bunch of teenage kids.

The building is 22.5x11 meters, about 250m2.
My workshop end up being around 85m2
car garage around 35m2.
Cold storage around 130m2
There is a family project.

With a little help from friends too.

Hej Kent - Dejligt at støde på et dansk projekt!

It's always nice to find one of the rare garage projects from Denmark... and yours is definitely one of the bigger ones!

It will be some amazing buildings you get, and I am deeply envious of all that space!

By the way: Is the Manta for Trackday, Youngtimer or the new 77-81 class in historic racing?

Best regards

Jacob

The blue manta is only for tracksdays, is has a Buick 315 v8.

I am ready for the concrete floor in the workshop.
But unfortunately it is getting winter in Denmark so it will have to wait a few months until we get some warmer weather.

Welcome! Floor looks very nice.

In your first post you wrote:

The word roots I do not understand, can you use a different word?

I write with google translator

So sometimes there will be fun words out of it.

The sentence should be.

I got some mess, but it's mostly because I've got a lot of projects going once.

Hope you understand it this time :)
