Looking good. It's always interesting to see the differences in construction techniques and methods from different parts of the world. Keep the photos coming, can't wait to see your progress. (and watch out for those spiders)

I used to live in São Paulo city, (for those who doens't know, it is our "New York City".

When I first meet this kind of spyder, I freaked out
I'm getting used to it now. I don't even kill then, I try to make them to get out of my house.

I will post more pictures later.

My question is what's the deal with the fence with the barbed wire on top? Kinda looks like prison fencing.

Pattenp,

This fence is very common here in Brazil.

Its a practical and sheep solution to establish a divisor between your and your neighbor land's.

We are going to make a better wall as soon as we finish the garage.

Looking forward to see the project completed. I hate spiders though...

What cars/bikes do you drive? What are your plans for tools/equipment?

Boa sorte ;)

With those spiders and that fence you have I didn't know if you were running a scaled down version of Jurassic Park.

I'm a hot hatch fan, I'm making a trackday car based on a Ford Fiesta Mk3 1995 with a Duratec 2.0 engine.

This is a very similar project from a friend of mine that it's already running:

The next two videos is from my first trackday, racing at Interlagos in a stock fiesta mk5 1.6 with 100cv:

2011, with a Mk6.5 Fiesta:

-----------

The tools i'm planning on buying are:

- Car Lift/Elevator
presto+manutencao+elevacar+balanceadora+desmontadora+geometria+palhoca+sc+brasil__23666B_1.jpg

- Air Compressor
compressor-schulz-bravo-60-litros-110v-monofasicopressao-maxima-140-psi-potencia-1-hp-204636900.jpg

- Pneumatic tools

- And Expand my manual tools since I already have enough to perform the basic repairs and upgrades on my cars.

It doesn't worked out because 6 to 8 meters below we found water.

We rescheduled to May 15 and they arrived with the proper tools to execute the service that uses another technique.

This truck have a bomb that inject under a high pressure the concrete into the foundation holes:

I have a red Ford Fiesta mk3 that will be my trackday car and a Ford Focus Ghia for daily use.

I am surprised by the amount of work you had to put into your foundation. Piers, pilings, and beams are common in large structures here but rarely seen in residential construction. It looks like you are building on clay and that can be tricky. Good luck in your racing. And please post more pictures.

In Brazil all the buildings "House" are like this, because people always think that tomorrow will build something else on top. Also do not use wood, only in the south or the north, the rest of the country does not use.

Yep, our constructions are a little bit heavy.

On the top of my garage we used 12m³ of concrete (FCK = 20MPA).
I don't have the exact weight for 20mpa concrete, but the specs of 18mpa it's 2306,88kg.

12 x 2306,88 = 27.682,56 kg.

Yeah, it's a little bit heavy... lol

I'm addicted of small european cars.

Brazilian car market it's a mix of american, japanese and european cars.

We only don't have the full size american sedans and pickups...

I'm building a 1994 Ford Fiesta Mk3 for trackdays.
It runs as stock a 1.3L OHV engine, I've made a swap to 2.0L Duratec from Ford Focus. I'm aiming 225hp and 750kg of weight, 13" wheels with Formula 3 slick tyres, it will be a very funny car.

I'm saving money to build another car in the future, my dream is an E30 M3, let's see :willy_nil

that fiesta will shift some, you'll have to get up some pics of that bad boy when you start. those cars are everywhere over here, but due to the amount of rain we have they rust so quickly.

Awesome build . . . . that's hellacious STOUT with concrete roof !!! Never any worries of tornado or hurricane tearing that garage up!!

Also notice you've got Oklahoma red dirt !! High iron content for dirt helps it shed water and optimal for softball and baseball infields.

Keep pics coming. We like !!

Last sunday I went for a ride with my Ford Focus.
I like to drive on the road after lunch on sundays because the traffic is very low.

I saw two black dogs walking on the side of the road when suddenly one came right in front of a bus that was next to me. I closed my eyes expecting the worst. I don't know how but the bus didn't hit the dog.

I immediately stopped and runned after them. Put both on the trunk and bring them home.
