That video was actually shot at the 2011 SEMA show in Vegas. I played with the tools there. However, the ratcheting flare wrenches have only recently made it to market about a year late.

I don't know how durable they would be for the long haul though. I remember that the ratcheting crowfeet did not have scallops for drive tool detent balls and complained to the Gearwrench rep about this shortcoming. I think they would be handy in some situations.

Tooltopia has a pretty good buy one get one special on the ratcheting flare wrenches right now if you feel lucky.:D

I have them. They're great out in the open but under the vehicle it's difficult to get the to ratchet at odd angles or when partial turns are all that's possible. I just replaced most of the hard lines on my project truck and found myself going back to my box often to get my normal flare nut wrench. I wanted to like them because the idea is sound but for how I will use them, average at best. They work awesome on plumbing applications where access to the fitting isn't an issue though. My favorite usage ended up being the mill.

For those that have had the ratcheting line wrenches in their hands, how good is the fit and is there any flex under load? It looks great in the videos where there is very little effort used to turn the fastener but in the real world I'd be using it to break free rusted line fittings and for final torque.
