Brunnhoelzl Jacks Walkaround

I ordered two Brunnhoelzl jacks (one for at home, and one for the road)

The road-duty jack is the Warrior Jack in Emerald Green (to match my track car) and the home-duty jack is the Low Profile Jack in Snap-On Extreme Green to match my tool chest.

I figured since there is not much info at all about these jacks on the internet, I'd post some pictures and some measurements comparing the two.







The first thing to notice is that the Low Profile Jack is space framed and has more detailed machine work for weight savings. The cross-beams also have an hour-glass turned profile. The handle receiver on the Warrior Jack is a rough casting whereas the one on the Low Profile Jack is nicely finished and machined.

Here is a shot of the two jacks being compared at minimum saddle height:



The minimum height of the Warrior Jack is an even 3.43" across the saddle. The minimum height of the Low Profile Jack is 2.33" at the front edge and 2.67" at the rear edge.



The maximum saddle height of the two jacks are quite similar, with the Warrior Jack coming in at 17.5" and the Low Profile Jack coming in at 17.44"

Impressively, the Low Profile Jack is a full 2 lbs lighter than the Warrior Jack. The Low Profile Jack weighs in at 32.6 lbs and the Warrior Jack weighs in at 34.6 lbs.

I just found this post after noticing that most of the jacks I saw at NASCAR at Sears Point (aka Sonoma) this weekend were Brunnhoelzl. Thanks for posting these pictures. Brunnhoelzl doesn't have a lot on their website and pictures of the different models are hard to come by.
These look great. The powdercoat finishes look especially good with the machined finish on the aluminum parts. Extreme Green is definitely one of my favorite Snap On colors! How are you going to sleep at night when you get them all scratched and dirty?!

A while back I was looking for a nice aluminum jack with a low saddle height and ended up going with a Zinko ZSJ-13A, and these pictures make me regret it. The Zinko has a minimum saddle height of 2.25" and a max lift of 17.375". Weighs ~34lbs as well, so they all have about the same specs.

Overall the Zinko works much much better than the Torin/HF Special it replaced, but there seems to be a lot of play in the various linkages.



Flame decals were not by choice - that's how it came.



The only part I really can't stand is the pad and shape of the saddle. It's just a flat rubber coated surface, and I actually had my pinch weld slide off it once. I like how the Brunnhoelzl is that low and still manages to have a cup-style saddle.



I like the knurled handle of the Zinko a lot though. Is that knurling on the Brunnhoelzl or just some kind of non-slip coating?

The Brunnhoelzl ($1295.00 ) website says their low profile jack has a Maximum lift height of 23 inches versus yours at 17.44 inches. Also the pictures of their crossbeams look different from yours.

Are these two different jacks?

Ive had 2 of these over the past few years for racing, nothing but trouble, they both ended up falling apart they work good when new but don't last long.

Wonder how the support is for them?

Could you please be more specific where both jacks failed? Was it the seals like the other low quality brands or a catastrophic failure? I could believe one Brunnhoelzl jack failing but two. Post pictures of them. They are worth a thousand words.
