Seems like the 120xp promotion went over great as did the customer service especially Mike going above and beyond by joining here. What I ask of Mike, and Ryan, if we could have an additional Trident Hot Deals sticky thread. Giving that they both approve.

I think if it goes through and is approved that a few simple rules should he made, and followed, to keep everyone happy and keep the thread uncluttered.

1. New hot deal, Mike is the only one to post it. Details, link etc
2. If you buy in on the hot deal, just a simple bump, bought, thanks reply to keep it easy to find the deals instead of wading through pages.
3. Any questions on the deal, to pm Mike.

What do you think GJ as a whole on this idea? Mike? Ryan?

If this idea is a bust, sorry for the waste of time. And thanks for everyone's time reading this.

I am all for it. I could use help determining what things everyone would be interested in. Maybe a poll? If so, I can then go to my manufactures and get special pricing.

That's the thing about GJ, there's such a broad group of users, a lot of deals are posted. We have welders, metal workers, carpentry and wood workers, mechanics and DIYers.

I think anything you think is a "hot deal" would be a hit.

Let's give it 24 hours and see what GJ as. Whole thinks and if Ryan approves.

I know real soon I'll be looking for sae gear wrench flex sockets in 3/8 shallow. I don't know when though or if I'll decide to buy them. Have to wait for finances. Thanks again Mike for all your work and time here.

?..plus I can stock accordingly. This sale just drained our stock. We never in or dreams expected this...

Outside of Gearwrench, what do you guys carry or have access to?

Brands I know are a big hit here (outside of tool trucks)

Armstrong
Wright
SK
Williams
GearWrench (lol)

Plus some others, but that's just off the top of my head. Also, you'd be surprise the people who buy something on a whim just for a good deal, or something new to try.

Just from looking at the list of manufacturers carried, I see some lines I'd like to try... Armstrong, Facom, Proto, IR, Snap On... I'd be thrilled to death for a deal on the highly regarded Armstrong pinless universal impact sockets, or a special on some Snappy Dual 80 ratchets...

Perhaps the journal should add a vendor hot deals section as a subsection to Hot Deals. Vendors from Epsteins to trident could post their current promotions there.:dunno:

Of course having a vendor section takes away the fun of finding the hot deal to begin with.

Hi BK13:

I believe the Armstrong set you are referring to is 46-910.

I have just added it to our site.

http://www.trident-supply.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=069-46-910

Let me know how we compare :)

Hey 87FoRunner:

Yes it is! We expect this to be happening for a while since we are new to the internet world, it seems to be good to us though!

We want to thank GJ for all of their support!

We are thinking of a blow out on Allen products, what does everyone think about that?

Thank you for that information, but keep in mind all GJ users will have a coupon code soon to get free shipping on over $40 and 10% off. So, overall this should be a better deal.

OK, I compared rates (including shipping on the first item I found.
KDT-80304S. NTX price is $37.93. $24.83 + $13.10 Shipping.

Trident's rate for the same product is: $31.68. if you order $8.32 more, in product you get free freight. They don't give free freight until $250. Plus you get $10% off, so your $40 purchase drops down to $36 with free freight.

Guys, we are trying.

Hey Guys, because of our contract with Snap-on, we CANNOT sell Snap-on outside of Asia...

I don't think we need another sticky. They could just post a thread with a hot deal. Or even better, if they are not a site sponsor they could become one.
