I read in another thread that some of you guys were looking for the new Gearwrench semi deep or Mid Length sockets. National Tool Warehouse has a buy one get one free special going on where for $42.61 you get the 3/8 drive metric set that runs 6-19mm and you get the 1/4 drive st 4-15mm thrown in for free. It will cost you $9.95 for shipping but, run the part number elsewhere and you may get lucky with shipping. :beer:

Can I ask, I am not opposed to buying more tools, but just to be clear. This would serve the same purpose as adding an extention to a shallow wouldn't it?

No. You could bottom out on a stud with that shallow socket. But the area isn't open enough for a regular deep well socket.

I wish they had a metric/SAE combo in the same drive size, or a similar promo for just SAE. I guess that's how they make money on the promos though - filling in :)

You can also get this deal through Sears if you have points there to use and save more. I had posted about this one several months back. - Paul
