Epoxy to Racedeck

So currently I have the tan Rustoleum water-based epoxy floor with the Rustoleum solvent-based clear coat. While I do like it and it has served me well for about a year a half, I'm ready for something different.

I really like the simple design of 55cadillacking and dubber's flooring, but I think I want to incorporate the beige color where they have the graphite color. I just think beige would look better for my garage versus the graphite. Ignore the alloy color tile in my picture by the way - that's just a sample.

Any suggestions/opinions? Or (dare I say it) should I leave it as is? Thanks!

Normally i would say an instant "YES" but your current floor looks great. It all comes down to what you really do in there, or if you just need a change. It looks to me like you take on some projects, clean some toys, while at the same time you like to relax and hang out in there. Both floors would service you well. I really find with my flooring it adds a level of comfort in there which is much more conducive to hanging out with bare feet or socks especially. The colour scheme your looking at seems like a good choice. I love how mine is inspired by my "Sunday Driver" that sits on it.

Also one of the fun features of Race Deck flooring is that it isn't permanent (although it can be) and since you like to change things up this might be a good option for you :) Anyhow, just my $0.02

Just thought I'd update this thread in case anyone else has the same question.

I'm very happy that I ended up going with race deck. The floor underneath looks very uniform under the Free Flow tiles and the gloss clear coat epoxy just makes the floor look wet underneath.

I also had tan epoxy on my floor so I incorporate Racedeck Freeflow beige, black and graphite. I like the way it turned out. Below are a few pics.

Edit - Oops, I saw that you already pulled the trigger. Nice looking floor!

Thank you for a great product! The flooring is really amazing - took it to the next level.

Now that's a man cave!!!
Love that you've still got a leaf blower on the wall lol

Haha - to be honest I use the blower(s) mainly to keep the garage clean and dry off my car after I wash it.

Thanks! I was actually very close to doing the design like yours, but after months of debating decided I needed some red on the floor to match all the cabinets.

Nice looking floor 1clean4runner
Thanks for the inspiration Dubber :)

Looks much much better!!
Thanks! I think so too.
I hate all of those floors - mainly cuz mine looks like sh$t and yours look great! ;)
Haha! One step at a time. Mine was atrocious when I first moved in!
I'd leave it well alone, floor looks good as-is. Wait until it needs re-doing.
Already switched to racedeck - see middle of thread - it "needed" it ;) For what it's worth, the gloss floor still looks great under the free flow.

I'm wondering, what kind of vacuum or cleanout can you do to get the debris out of the tiles? Rock/dust/packing peanuts/saw dust, small oil spills--- that kind of stuff?

My craftsman wall-mount shop vac (5hp) with a 10" wide brush attachment easily lifts any debris up through the tile. If you spill something particularly nasty, you can unsnap a few tiles and wipe it up. You can also just hose out the entire garage (water flows through and under the tile) and let it just dry by evaporation.
