Craiglist junkie that I am, stumbled on this today right when it was first listed, it was only a mile or so from home so I just had to do it, by the time I got there the women had said she had had 10 plus calls since I had called.

I typically like to negotiate price but I just chose to pay asking price this time...a whopping $50 Dollars

Damn. I'm jealous. You ****!

What a great box. Exactly the sort of Craigslist purchase I've been looking and hoping for lately.

WOW. "You ****" doesn't even come close. That is like a deal of a lifetime right there. Especially considering the shape it was in. I had to log in to see the pics, but I was expecting some half rusted common box. Not that.

What are your plans for it?

Edit for info
BTW, as you probably know, they are an early 1950's KR-361 Super chest combo. Consisting of a KR-61 top "Super chest" and the bottom, a KR-302.

It really is in very very nice shape, just a few small dents and some surface rust, the drawers are like new and slide perfect, looks like a KR-302 and KR-61 from mid/late 50"s which is when the guy told me they were from....

I have no idea what i am going to do with it, I just could not pass it up. I do really like the bottom box

The old man even threw in a handful of hand tools, most of which I didnt take (imported junk) but i did take an 18" german stainless straight edge, a brand new craftsmen wood plane, some razor knifes and blades, and a few brand new kids snow shovels (my kids were in the truck and he wanted to give them to them) all included lol

What to do with it?
Open drawers

Or clean it up really well and use it in the house

It's missing the lock on the top box, I'd have passed on it, plus the ones at HF have ball bearing slides.

Awesome box!! Love the double doors on the bottom box!

Scott

They look cool, but are a major PITA. I've got an earlier version of that box and the doors are in the way if they're left open. If they're closed it's a huge wasted motion to get them open.

Jack,

Do you have a thread on the boxes you currently own? I would like to see what you have because you sell a lot...... don't you?
