:shocking:

Nothing like too much light right? Still missing some task lighting underneath the shelves, but it is like an operating room, and will get even brighter after I grind and seal my floors.

Reused some Beghelli fixtures I had left over from a previous move and borrowed a conduit bender from a friend, spent hours trying to bend the conduit correctly, ended up using exactly what I expected which was a surprise. Still need to caulk up the box and put on a blank cover, but it looks slick, not too bad for a first try!

Wiring is 12 gauge THHN, 3 conductors in each run of 1/2" EMT which should be OK. I was going to use Romex (NM) which would've caused some of you guys to get an acute hernia. :bounce:

What temperature bulbs did you use? I recently installed some new electronic ballasts and a mix of bulbs-- 5000k daylight and 6500k blue light. I really like the pop of the 6500k but dislike the harsh blues. So far, a solid compromise.

Before the upgrade, my 8 bulb fixtures only had 4 bulbs working with cheap soft white t12s :badteeth:. I definitely felt like a proud poppa when those new bulbs lit up.

I have a similar sized shed with 2 - 4' lights. Your fixtures reflect more light than mine though. I have one 5000k and one 6500k in each as well. It seems like a decent compromise. I like it bright while I'm working.

Only issue I see is there is no car filling it up, no Steevo workbench and no plumbed airlines (your choice of copper or black pipe - stainless optional!) :)

However, I do see what appears to be the mandatory unfinished project which looks to be an air compressor rebuild by chance? The lights look great!

Wow, my temps are nowhere near those values LOL. I tried two different temps, the luminaire closest to the garage door has 3500K tubes, whereas the other one has 4100K tubes. My walls are painted a light eggshell grey if that helps, I didn't want it too harsh and thought that the 4100K tubes were the coolest I could stand.

One thing at a time LOL, my compressor is still torn down, I need to clean up the crankcases (degrease/hot tank) ASAP, I can't stand the burnt oil anymore, need to put in some ventilation in the garage. I am going to run copper air lines, 3/4" piping:

I am going to run copper as it is easier to work with. A 12' section of medium wall type L 3/4" cooper piping runs around $46 plus tax here. I am going to run pipe 3/4 the length of my garage on either side (I have a single car garage), it's going to run me around $150 including the necessary couplings, elbows and fittings, as well as accounting for a cooling loop.

I am going to also pick up a hose reel and mount it near my garage door to extend the reach of my air lines just in case.

I'm picking up the baltic birch plywood for my bench legs this weekend, going to go with a triple laminated top - three layers of 3/4" plywood, plus an additional layer for the extra thick front. Should be bomb proof hopefully. Going to attach a layer of sacrificial masonite/hardboard/melamine on top with some threaded inserts and machine screws, so when it comes time to replace the top layer I won't wear out the screw holes. Then I can finally mount my vise which you can see on my makeshift storage bench. :lol_hitti

Looking at the pictures, I just remembered I still need to finish my jack, as of right now, I have slightly rusted but degreased parts all over a desk.

Ended up installing the blank plate and a clip to hold the longer segment of EMT in place, you may notice that I neglected to bend an offset right after the box or fixture, so I had to get clips that were offset as well, looks unprofessional I know LOL.

Going to run conduit for the additional wall receptacles and the garage door opener as well tomorrow.

I still don't get the 6500K is "blue" comments. I have (10) 96" fixtures in my shop all with 6500K's and it's definitely not "blue" IMO.

What make/model are those lights. Im looking for a 4Ft. T5/T8 HO fixture..

http://www.beghellicanada.com/products/luce/illumina-bs100.php

Just ran some more EMT to separate my soffit downlights into two zones, in addition to relocating my garage door opener outlet. Really glad the pot light installers didn't patch up the access panel they cut out in the garage.

Just wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly, I am using 12 gauge THHN/T90 in a 15 amp circuit. I ran THHN inside the wall as well, from the existing outlet to the junction box next to the hose reel, and from the junction box next to the garage door opener up into the external soffit (downlights). All hot, neutral and ground wires are 12 gauge stranded, is this fine?
