new lathe to me,a old viceroy 11x24

Now the good stuff, I have got an old lathe today, a Denford Viceroy Mk 2 T.D.S.1/1. serial No 28506
with 2off 3 jaw chucks, 1 off 4 jaw chuck, 4 face plates, full complement of change gears,
3 Kingston Aloris wedge quick change tool posts & other tools.

It is in a less than new condition, the back gear selector lever is missing & it has now become a project, but for £300 it is not a lot of money.

have a look at the photos & see if you think it is a good buy.

it needs a good clean.

I'd say you got a good deal. Needs a good cleaning, lube and probably some adjustment. Use a dial indicator and check your spindle run-out. Mike

They were good machines! Spares were always a nightmare but £300 sounds very fair to me!
