Bought this set up in June 2012. 900 sq.ft. home for my gf and I who have been together almost 11 years. no marriage in the future... HELL NO.. and she agrees!! That's why shes a keeper! lol. and neither of us want kids! The house has a full basement with new foundation and a new roof. The house currently only has 60amp and the garage is 30 amp and that WILL NOT work... lol. When our Mustang sells (2001 GT 61K and MINT) we will be upgrading to 200 amp house and 100 amp garage. Along with a DirecTV and Ethernet line and gas line ran to the garage for a ceiling mounted heater...
Garage was added to the property around 2008.
Here is the house and garage when we first bought it. For (unfortunately) being in the city, its 2 lots deep so its big for being in the city. around 3/8 acre. We did a complete living room and 3 bedroom updating before we moved in. House was built in 55 or 56 and still has original kitchen so that is next!
Here is the garage when we bought it (previous owners boat they hadn't taken yet, not mine). Foundation is nice and high along with the windows. Inside is normal height of course to the windows. 10' tall ceilings and an open canvas to do what I wanted!!!!!!
The first was a total of about 16 ton of stone to do the entire driveway. you can see in the first pic how bad the driveway was. #8's from the side patio to the road and 410 to dust from house to garage. Ill do another 4ton of #8 when the 410 are all settled! There was about a 5" drop from the concrete garage floor to the stone when we moved in. The Grand Ams mud flaps didn't like that! lol.
Here is the open canvas I was talking about! This was after we bought it but before we completely moved in. I got all my stuff from my gf's parents garage (just down the street) into this garage to give her dad some room as he is a high end finish carpenter and likes to work in his garage.
Then around June or July of 2013 I started insulating the walls...

and I added a second light... it had a 2 bulb T12 and I added a 4 bulb T8. I will definitely buy another 4 bulb T8 to replace the 2 bulb T12 as it ****... lol. Ill save it though. never know where ill want it on a switch somewhere else.
then I started on the ceilings which will get 7/16" OSB also.

the part you saw with no insulation is where my attic door will be. The ladder will be built onto the wall so I just walk right up and swing open the doors and the ladder will continue up into the attic. That's where the peak of the roof is so it gives me the most room and easiest way to get into the attic. Only issue is the first truss is about 18" from the wall and I want the opening to be a total of 4' x 3' so I will need to cut into the truss and box it in so I cant finish the insulation yet...
inside of the garage door before I insulate it.
thanks for looking!! More pictures as I keep working... so everyone knows, I will have about $1000 in insulation and OSB when its done. I did all the manual labor... lol.
