Does anyone have any experiences with any damage/imprints made from motorcycle kickstands or centerstands on flooring such as RaceDeck whether it is solid or freeflow? The stands have relatively small pads and can also be warm from engine heat.

No engine heat issues, but you'll want to use something under the kickstand to keep it from marring the floor. I use one of the HD kickstand pads.

I throw the kickstand down on my Honda 450X without any worry. I have Racedeck freeflow. No marks yet. I've never tried the stand from a street bike, however.

I have 18 inch diamond pattern RD. My HD Street Glide kickstand will mar the RD because the kickstand moves as the weight of the bike increases on the kickstand.

Thanks for the responses. I kinda figured a kickstand would mar the surface, just wanted some confirmation. Since I don't park in exactly the same spot every time I probably would see quite a few marks over time if I didn't use an additional plate under the stand. I bet a centerstand on a heavy street bike would also make some sort of mark/impression.

So you can't park a motorcycle without the chance of marring The expensive racedeck flooring, have to go through preventive measures if you are weldinG...... Wel, at least it looks pretty

Thank you Shea... So I guess I need a bunch of those for when my friends come over with their motorcycles or damage the garage flooring.

no, you dont need any of those things, just park the bikes on the Racedeck and quit worrying, no damage will happen.

In our own RaceDeck Speed Garage we have numerous bikes that park on the floor ( some long term over the winter) with absolutely no marking or damage. Bikes include
H-D Road King, 2 Ducati SportClassic 1000's , custom H-D cafe style bike, several Dirt Bikes, a pit bike and a scooters. Also just did a warranty claim search in our system and found 2 this year ( 4 tiles total company wide) . Bottom line , if you manage to damage a tile from a bike resting on it, we will send you another asap...
