I tried to search the pass/fail thread without luck.

And only one (positive) review when searching the whole forum.

Anyway; I crushed a washer and am now grinding the nose off the jackscrew of my OTC 1040. Yeah, I should have bought an indexing plate tool for it. It looks like a 3-jaw isn't going to be an option based on clearance. Well, without significant further disassembly.

So is the 66657 2-jaw convertible? Convertable? :bounce:

Any other reviews? How about the usual "you're doing it wrong" posts?
thanks.

I found a way to use a 3-jaw.

I mis-read the capacity as 12". It's 9"something.

So I'll have to make extending straps.

Well, I had to unbolt an item and finagle it out of the way in order to use a 3-jaw. Once in place, it (and some 1" wide 0.25" steel straps) worked great. :pimpflash

I really like this hydraulic puller idea. I always had OTC 2-jaws up to this point.

I do need to order a new screw for my 1040.

And figure out how to adapt hydraulics to the gear installation task I'll soon be undertaking.
