Hi, first post here. I've been slowly buying many of Craftsman's C3 tools in the past few years. This made me curious as to exactly how many tools have been released in the C3 platform. Does anybody have a full list of present and discontinued tools? Also, when did Craftsman release the C3 system? My research says it was released around mid-2005. Thanks for any info.

The doc did not paste well, I will try and clean it up. I do not have a good list of for the updated models. Things like the 3/8 drill have gone through 9 models for the functionally the same thing.

I bought a combo kit in 1999.

Thanks for the list! I just bought the fan off ebay maybe 3 weeks ago for $81 shipped. It's a great little fan. I also just bought 2 4ah XCP batteries and the 4 port charger last night. I love the C3 line.

I bought the Craftsman C3 19.2-Volt 3/8'' Right Angle Drill/Driver. No battery included.

First time buying a Craftsman cordeless tool.

My question is do I have to buy a Ni-cad or a lithium battery? I don't see a mention on the website. Or can I pick either or?

One of the reasons I have not switched from the Craftsman cordless line is that 3/8" right angle drill. What a GREAT tool! It doesn't get used often.........maybe once or twice a month...........but it has paid for itself many times over.

I have included the most up to date version of this list that I can find. There seems to be no other list anywhere else on the internet so since this thread seems to be the only one, I thought I would help out the rest of the world. I will try to update, should I find something else to add.

Since they will introducing most likely new tools (with the buy out from Stanley). Suspecting the NEW power tools will be based off the Dewalt ones (so a win/win)!

I have a C3 1/2 inch impact driver. It's less than a year old. I've used it a few times, but most recently I tried to use it to break loose one of the locknuts off a newly installed radiator core support bolt. It couldn't do it, so afterwards I replaced the lock nut with a standard nut, and even then after breaking it loose and retightening it a couple of times the battery went dead after trying to loosen it the third time. I wasn't surprised it could not bust it loose because my air impact couldn't either, but I wasn't on the trigger for a great length of time, maybe 10 or so seconds before realizing the lock nut wasn't going to come loose with about 3 or 4 attempts, and then the battery was dead, and I literally took it off the charger before I started? Does that seem like poor battery life? I've taken to keeping my batteries and charges in doors rather than expose them to cold during use, but it seems like the battery dies really fast on these units, especially compared to my much older 18 volt Ridgid batteries (which can usually go most all day with the 1/8 impact and matching hammer drill.

I have the C3 Impact and it pulls the lugnuts off my truck like a champ. My 4ah LiIon batteries seem to give the appropriate amount of runtime.

There are two C3 1/2 impacts. The standard has 200 ftlbs and the heavy duty has 300 and comes with the 4ah battery.

First time posting at Garage Journal. Found this post doing a search on Craftsman RC truck. I have about half of the Craftsman C3 line and just picked up a race truck (315.15940). It did not come with a manual and there appears to be something leaking between the rear drive wheels. Any idea what would be leaking?
Also, does anyone have a manual for the RC truck that they would be willing to scan and send me? I contacted Sears and they stated the manual is no longer available. I don’t know whether these RC trucks require any type of regular maintenance, such as lubricant, or if all systems are sealed (or supposed to be sealed). I have never owned an RC vehicle before, so I am not familiar with them.

I have a c3 drill and a c3 work light and they've served me well for the past 13 years, but I was planning on upgrading to the Lowes craftsman v20 lineup, and buy the 8 tool combo kit.

Anyone come across a battery adapter for C3 tools? I'd like to find one to adapt to the Ryobi One+ batteries.I ve seen them for Dewalt.

Craftsman C3 tool lineup past & present

Here is some documentation I have for the C3 lineup. Hope this helps anyone needing it. I have just about sold all of my C3 stuff and moved over to the SBD Craftsman line. While the new line is not without its flaws, for the most part, I like it better than the C3 line and suits my needs just fine.

The 10570 detail sander and the power shot nailer are used with every wood project. Neither my red or teal systems carry anything like them that works as well. Love them.
