The 18th is almost done and only 4 people out of the 14 that originally committed to purchasing have paid for their lifts. If anyone wants them, the spots are now available on a first come first paid basis. I originally posted this only on this forum, but will now open it to other buyers as well.

The cost of the SPOA10 Lifts is $2,250.00 when picked up in Detroit, MI
If you want to pick one up in Hanover Park, IL, the cost is $2,250 plus $174.38 in IL sales tax.

The lifts must be picked up in the Detroit area on either October 30th or 31st. They will be taken down and packaged for you and we will have a forklift to load them up. If you pick up at my facility in Hanover Park, IL, we will load it for you with our forklift at our facility. Lifts can be picked up in Hanover Park any time on or after November 5th.

Because thats what good rotary lifts bring
I've been to dealership actions where 7-9 k rotarys from early 80s-late 90 used hard everyday and tired looking sell for a
Minimum of $1700

Price a new rotary lately? One I'm sitting next to right
Now prices out at dealer cost at $5760

I have a 5 year old Rotary 12,000 lb lift out in the garage I bought new. I myself wouldn't buy a used lift sight unseen. Kinda risky to me. JMO

Interersting questions. I bought one of the used lifts for pickup in Detroit. I could have bought a different brand but Rotary is made within 50 miles of where I live. I figured it was 50% of new. Age did not bother me as much as amount of use. I checked out the info from when he sold them last year and everybody was extremely pleased. I also checked out the seller and was very comfortable. When he cancelled a sale because the unit was not in good condition that told me something also.

I am sure I will be very happy with my new lift. But maybe you all are correct and they will be in fair condition. If so I will deal with it. I suspect it is a great deal, the company has a reputation to protect and does this for a living, the lifts are quality products. I will let you know next year when I get my barn up and the lift installed. ( I figured with the lift in storage I would build my barn faster!)

IIRC these were in a tech center in the Detroit area that wrote the service manuals for the automakers on new model year cars. They would put a car on it for weeks at a time while they wrote the service manuals. Not up and down several times a day like in a repair shop.

I was going to get one like these from Frank in early 2012 but the sale to Frank fell thru from the sellers side. Ended up finding a nice used Forward 9K Asymmetric lift out of a Walmart.

thanks for the vote of confidence, Mark. I am sure you will be ecstatic with the lift.

shop teacher, I'm asking for payment prior to pickup this time. Unfortunately, I had allowed payment on site the last time and came up short. I believe it was an unscrupulous employee, but could never prove it. Check or credit card only this time.

I can personally vouch for the quality of the products and services Frank is offering. I purchased 2 lifts from him just over a year ago for our 5 bay shop and they are great. You want new? Go pay full retail. You want LIKE NEW, then trust this man, you won't be sorry. The lifts I bought from him a year ago got more workout in a week than they did prior to my owning them if that tells you anything. The guys also did not spare any expense as far as taking the time and materials to properly package the whole unit. I had enough 2x4s left over to build a chicken coop. I purchased two SPOA9 lifts from him for our shop a year ago and couldn't be happier. I only wish I had it in my budget to buy up ALL of his lifts for future company expansion. If you ever get a deal like this again Frank, I want to buy the lot!!

What is new price on these lifts? If you are half of new I am gonna need to get into the piggy bank! Gotta be better than a forward brand!

I sell them new for $3,796.73 including freight. Rotary charges sales tax for any lift drop shipped, so the tax rate is variable depending on where you are. (WA State and MT have no sales tax, lucky dogs...) In IL, I charge 7-3/4%.

I would normally sell used equipment at 50%, but these lifts are in PREMIER condition and I know that if they aren't purchased here, I can sell them to car dealers or independent shops at the same (or higher) price.

I am one of the people that will be picking up a lift in Chicago. I was skeptical at first until I read over the comments from the last sale and saw the pictures of the research facility that they were used in.

FRANK, you should ad that picture of these lifts in that place so the guys that missed the first thread can see what you are selling.

With tax I will be paying $2424.00 That is a savings of about $1400. I admit if this deal had not popped up again, I was about to buy a different hoist and it would have cost me the same money, for what would be less hoist.

If any of you that picked up a lift or anyone else that may need bolts I have sets of 16 available, either 6" long 3/4" zinc anchor studs with nuts and washers for $35 plus shipping, or double expansion 3/4" threaded inserts with grade 5 bolts and washers for $55 plus shipping. These are 3.5" long and need a 1 1/4" mason bit to anchor them, the grade 5 bolts I can supply are 4" long. PM me and I can set you up. I should be able to throw sets into a flat rate box for $12.35

Frank,
Picked up my lift in Detroit Wednesday morning from your guys. They were extremely helpful and made sure I had everything I need for reinstalling it. I brought it home and put it in storage for now since a building is a year away. I am pleased with the my purchase, just frustrated I do not have a building yet. The lift looks like new and is just what I wanted at a great price..

To echo what was said above, I was scheduled to pick up a a lift in Detroit and had to slide to Chicago yesterday. They had just received the lifts and were very helpful in packaging up what they had onto my trailer.

The lift I received and the ones I viewed (I didn't look them over closely, but they all appeared to be in the same condition) were like new. Only the paint on the bottom of the bases where the it was sitting on the concrete was showing wear. Even the stand up lifting pads had all their paint. You NEVER see that.

I picked mine up in Chicago today. Like said above, the lifts look like brand new other than the bottom, and that will never show anyway.

I have to admit that I would probably have bought a cheaper brand lift if this deal had not come along. I am certainly glad that it did! I bought a $4500 dollar lift for half price and that is what one of the China makes would have cost me.

Thanks again Frank, JIM

Had a buddy pick my lift up for me yesterday in Chicago. Like everyone else has said it looks as close to new as you can get. A few more days for my concrete to cure and I will be installing. Thanks Frank!
