Update! Im ready for the Epoxy coat tomorrow!

I've spent the last 2 weeks scrubbing, filling cracks and etching my garage floor. Tomorrow is supposed to be 72 degrees so the Epoxy Coat is going down. I'm sure the floor is ready I just worry about getting it cut in around the edges and spread before it starts to set up. I have a friend helping me so he can start to spread it while I do the cutting in.
Hopefully I'll have a good report tomorrow night.

Just a suggestion for cutting in. Tape a cheap brush 2.5 or 3 inch to the end of a broom handle and use it to cut in. Since you'll be pouring your epoxy out on the floor, all you have to do is smear it along the edge with the brush. It self levels. This way you won't have it heat up and set in a container and you don't spend a lot of time bent over, dipping into a container. It makes the job go a lot faster.

Final bit of advice for what its worth, don't spread it to thin.

Good luck and don't forget to update us with pictures.

Ok, here we go. First of all, I was really nervous that It was going to set up before I got it all spread, then I was afraid that I wasn't going to have enough to do the whole job. My garage is 22x22.
I had a friend help me, after we mixed it he poured it out while I was cutting in. This is pretty thick and a little hard to spread. After cutting in I started rolling it while he pushed it around with the squeegee. I broke the roller from pushing down too hard and trying to spread it at the same time.
After doing one batch I spread the flakes then started on the second batch, for some reason the second batch went a lot smoother.
After we finished we cleaned everything up and went to lunch, when we got back there were a bunch of bubbles in it, I used my lawn blower to bust the bubbles but I can still see where they were, Maybe I waited too long to bust them.
I used my golf spikes to walk out in it to spread the flakes, this worked real well. I like the heavier concentration of flakes so I bought extra to make sure I had enough. The flakes are heavier in some spots and lighter in others but I am satisfied with it.
This garage was used to restore several cars before I built my shop so there was oil stains and paint overspray everywhere. This looks so much better.
There are several cracks in the floor that I filled with an acrylic concrete crake filler, they are hardly noticeable now.
Pics wont load right now, i'll try again

Your floor looks great! A big transformation from an oil stained floor with cracks to a brand new looking floor.

I used Epoxy-Coat about 3 years ago and it has held up fairly well (1000sf)...though there are a few spots that tires have lifted and a few chips from dropping tools and such. I wish I could get smaller repair kit than the $50 kit. The spots I need to repair are only a few inches in diameter and that kit is way more than I need to fix them...don't really want to have to store the remaining product indefinitely.

I have pulled engines, transmissions, rear ends, and have a couple of lifts on my floor, so it gets quite a workout. About twice a year I fill up a bucket with car wash soap and use it to wash down the floor and squeegee it clean.
