I tore the cheap wire shelving out of one of the closets in my house that was there when I bought it. Replaced it with some Ikea stuff. Then put the wire shelves in the garage.

I used a stud finder and tried to space the racks 16" apart and put them all in studs. I probably hit the stud 65% of the time, however they are amazingly sturdy when mounted this way.

Here are some pictures. I have since loaded them up with intakes and heads, and they are rock solid. Any one else using this stuff?? Cheep and effective.

yup, I use a bunch of that stuff in my garage as well. The bottom "hanger" bar is great for sprayer bottles. Windex, auto detailer, any kind of pump sprayer will hang on nicely, and not take up shelf space.

i used the same rails and arms, but i put boards instead of the wire shelves,
mainly because the stuff i put on the shelves would fall through the wire shelves.

cool idea and the best part is it is all reconfigurable ;)

Looks good, but I'd go back and double check to make sure you hit the studs...if they're just into the sheetrock, chances are they'll eventually pull out and you don't want cylinder heads and intake manifolds falling from the sky. ;)
