I built a pump like this as an experiment for emptying my oil catch barrel cleanly and easily. I found that I could run it in reverse and vac up oil from pails or larger oil change totes from one of the semis.

My SIL recently bought a house and it has some weird hole in the floor too small for a sump pump but about 2' in diameter and 2' deep under the floor so I thought I would build another one for her to empty it into the real sump pump hole which is dry.

Anyway I do not know what engine the pump is from. It uses a hex drive which I made. I welded over the suction and drilled a hole in the bottom for a suction port.

I would like to find a small pump from a motorcycle or miniature hydraulics system that would fit in the hole on a 5 gallon pail for adding oil to engines, diffs, transmissions or transfer cases.

Looks a lot like a straight six ford 200 cid pump. Check out 1970 ford truck six cylinders for application.
