I paid $27 for this set.
They are some of the nicest wrenches there are for sure.
One day I was getting some tune-up stuff at NAPA. I saw them on the top area of the shelves like between the 2 aisles. Looked like where they parked Misc. stuff. that was like the misfit toys area.
I looked at them and couldn't believe it. I figured they had no idea what they had, maybe a special order or something.
I said to the counterman, I'll bet you'd like to sell those ehhh? He said, you bet. He gave me a price of $27!! I couldn't believe it. I knew they were great wrenches and knew they were high dollar. I always wanted a set to do Porsche valve jobs. These things feel like polished Ivory in your hands. I acted like I was thinking it over for a few seconds and said, I'll take them. Played it cold as Ice.
Walked out and when I got into the car I whooped out loud!! Big freakin' smile.
They had been there a while according to him and they wanted to get rid of them. I couldn't believe that no wrench twister had not snapped them up. I'm sure the name totally threw most guys. I wonder how much similar K-D junk they had sold in the meantime.
Anyhow, these are superlative wrenches, you'll enjoy them.
