I picked up a M12 drill to add to my collection today from Ace Hardware. The tool is marked on the box as $150 and includes drill motor, two batteries, charger, and a blow molded case. During November Ace has them marked down to $100 but if you are an Ace Rewards member like me you get an instant $20 rebate. I registered my AMEX card for Small Business Saturday and they will credit my account ten bucks, after all is said and done I will end up paying $70 for the tool. I got a useful tool, saved money, and helped a local businessman. Everyone won today except the big box stores.

Here is the new drill and everything that came with it.

Here is all the M12 tools I have up till now, right angle drill, drill, screw shooter, and hex drive impact.

I couldn't leave well enough alone, I just bought a M12 Hammer drill off eBay for 45 bucks.

As far as 3/8" impact I just use an adapter in my 1/4" hex driver like this http://www.cpooutlets.com/makita-78...a&srccode=cii_17588969&cpncode=33-231540977-2 right now but I have thought about selling that impact and buying both a 1/4" & 3/8" square drive impact.

Also plan on a ratchet sometime.......................

just go ahead and buy the M12 3/8" cordless ratchet to go with that collection you have. I use mine everyday and love it. Im looking for the drill/impact combo like you have to replace some older stuff for my work box. any complaints on the drill or the impact driver.

No complaints on any of the M12 tools I own. I freaking love them and actually would like to sell the Makita LXT 3/8" impact, 1/2" drill, and work light I have and replace them with Milwaukee M18's just so I have a common tool brand and I could get one of the chargers that will charge an M18 or M12 battery. As of now I have way too many different brands and I have chargers and batteries everywhere. :willy_nil

how do you like the angle drill ?

I originally bought it as a what the heck purchase but I use the snot out of that thing and it is handy as can be. Has plenty of power and the trigger is extra long so you can finesse it. The housing is rubberized at the top so it is comfortable if you bear down on it with your free hand. If you look closely you can see in the picture that it has a 1/4" socket adapter, because I don't have the ratchet as of now I sometimes use that to spin nuts.
It has a light and a battery level gauge like the rest of them. Top notch tool.

I have the smaller "screw shooter" as the OP calls it...and I use it all the time. Very helpful.

Officially Milwaukee calls it a hex screwdriver. I have a set of bits and drills like this that I use with it.

It's nice to just snap a bit in but I also like the ability to chuck something up. Now when I'm working around the house or doing something where a drill and screw is needed there is no changing bits just grab the other tool.
