Well -- new to us
We're moving to Roslindale, which is a suburb of Boston. The garage situation isn't ideal as it's under the house, and it's only a one-car garage. But, it's better than what I have now, which is no garage at all!
Apologies for the terrible photos, as I took them during the first walk-through with our Real Estate agent.
Old doors. Not sure if they're original to the house:
Looking out towards the doors. Open the doors and you'll see our backyard:
Looking in towards the rest of the basement:
The garage needs some work, but nothing the wife and I can't handle. The biggest issues are safety issues:
It'll also need paint and more lighting. We close on the house on Friday. I can't wait to get in there!

The garage needs some work, but nothing the wife and I can't handle. The biggest issues are safety issues:
- The wall between the garage and the unfinished basement has holes in it from when a door was removed, which is a carbon monoxide hazard. You can see this in the middle of the 3rd photo.
- The wall between the garage and the finished basement is just very thin wood paneling, which isn't an adequate fire block. You can see this on the left-hand side of the 2nd photo.
- The lights in the garage are wired from the ceiling to a wall switch -- but they're wired with an extension cord.
It'll also need paint and more lighting. We close on the house on Friday. I can't wait to get in there!
