Over 2 years ago I bought a 6" Reed 206 and it has been sitting on the floor ever since since I didn't have a stand or workbench that would hold it.

In July of this year I picked up an old machine stand with a 1" thick plate top for $7.50

In the past weeks I have been getting busy finally getting everything mounted up.
The vise got installed first along with leveling feet modifications details here http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3561590&highlight=reed+vise#post3561590
And then I decided I needed to get this finished! I mounted the Dake on 4" square tubing from the scrap pile because I wanted to get it a little higher plus if I have a long piece of pipe I can stick it thought while using the pipe vise.
I added a vintage Reed #71 pipe vise to one corner.
The other corner got a railroad track anvil I picked up at a yard sale.
The pipe vise and anvil are mounted with 7/16 bolts threaded directly into the table. If need be I can quickly remove them.
I was getting pretty good at drilling and tapping those holes after a while!
11 drilled and tapped 7/16 NC holes!
After getting everything mounted up I cleaned everthing up and used PB Blaster garage door lube to protect it it and reduce friction. The differrence it made in the swivel base for the vise alone made it worth it
A little cart I have can be slid under and the leveling adjusters raised to make it mobile too.
Other than a little more work on the pipe vise this is pretty much done. It will be in the big shop and stuff in there needs to work good but with 4 car projects in the waiting list it doesn't need to be too pretty!
