My garage is under construction at the moment, but here is the plan for my 30x48 garage with machine shop.

The floor plan software did not have Mercedes models so I had to go with 2 Ferraris:D

Very nice, how tall?
Looks to be a 10 footer. Does it have scissor trusses to give more height for the lift?

Hello John

I see you finally got out of Conn, I hope it worked out for you.

My little garage in L.A. is empty, I have 36K sq ft in central Kansas.

My phone has changed, PM me for a new number, I would love to catch up with you.

Looks like some similar thinking as I put into my building. I chose to completely wall off the machine shop but put in a false wall to allow movement of big machines between the clean and dirty areas.

Thank You Dan

Its 10 ft. No trusses just rigid frames. Cars will lift nicely in this. Tractor Trailers will not.

Hello Steve

I tried to call you a few weeks back to see how you were doing.

Central Kansas 36K sq ft. That's a change.

Question of the day. Is there a 600SEC with an M120.

Sending PM.

Quite a shop you have Larry

Yes I guess the thinking was the same. My machine shop is walled off with a 9 ft overhead door in between. Keep the auto service away from fabrication.

Getting ready for Epoxy. Mud cleaning hell. I told you those leaves would come back to bite me. Pressure washer blew the concrete off covering the leaves. Patches everywhere.

First coat of Epoxy Primer went well.

Opened second coat drums and found one short on part B hardener.

So hear we wait for another gallon of hardener to arrive. Possibly tomorrow.

2) Crushed concrete driveway with gravel needs to be put down.

3) Steel interior walls will be installed.

4) Wiring for plugs will be installed.

5) Air compressor shack needs to be sided and a lower vent installed see pictures.

6) Compressor plumbing needs to be installed.

7) Machines and other stuff need to be moved in.

:rocker:YES!!!!! Finally someone with luck as bad as mine.

Just kidding!!!! I feel for ya' that's for sure, and that's the way that everything I do happens.

So who ordered the trucks of concrete? And if it was the contractor, and the crew didn't show up until 10:30, I think there would have been a couple people looking for a new job.

The saga for the concrete is over here:

My guess is the 10:30 crew was the replacement for the first crew the contractor was busy trying to bail out of jail.

Just the outside one is bad. The inside is almost a year old and has no cracks so far. I did have a hell of a time with the leaves some having to be ground out and patched.

Driveway is just about complete now except the part over the culvert. Culvert is the last thing required for car traffic to move in. Stones can be added later to make it look nice but it will be functional as is. It could be complete by the end of the week.

Still lots to do. I have to put up interior wall panels. I may wait for it to get a bit cooler.

I am thinking of a future project in the GSO area also. Could you please share in round numbers the $$ you have in the entire project? The building, site prep, exterior pad, electrical, plumbing, the whole enchilada in round numbers.

Looking good!
How big is the culvert?
I would prefer a minimum 18-24" for a wooded area so it is less prone to plugging up. Keep an eye on the upstream side as time goes by.
