i bought an 18v kit off eBay with the fuel drill, fuel 3/8ths and a 1/2" impact, 2 xc batteries and a combo charger some time ago and i cant seem to find my receipt for it. one of my batteries has broken and i would really like to get it warrantied if possible but not sure how i can go about doing that without a receipt.

Yeah.
Milwaukee goes by date of mfg as the start date of your warranty if you don't have a receipt. You just provide them a serial number.

Warranty Registration
In the United States and Canada, Warranty Registration is not necessary to obtain the applicable warranty on a Milwaukee Tool® product.
If a copy of the proof-of-purchase is not provided when the tool is submitted for repair, the manufacturing date from the product's serial number will be used to determine the warranty period and eligibility.
We recommend you always save the proof of purchase to validate your warranty.
