Been browsing this place for a few years on and off for ideas but decided to finally register and actually keep track of the progress. I purchased this place back in November 2009; first time buyer, it's a 3 bed 3 bath townhouse with a 2 car tandem garage as the bottom floor.

My neighbor has her place forsale currently and since I don't have any pictures of how it started out I borrowed some of the ones from her listing.

Most of these pictures ****, and don't show too much of the work really but they're all I seem to have. Started by finishing off the walls, adding a work bench and some trim

Then added eight 8ft halogens to brighten it up

Still looking for some upper cabinets and other stuff for the garage, but happy with the progress so far. I'll try to take better pictures of any future progress

Thanks for sharing and welcome to GJ!

Unique layout for sure! Seems like there is still plenty of space even with 2 cars in there. Cool rides too

What is the size? With those cars in there you still have space to work on all 4 sides.

Where are you located? I have only seen tandem garages here on GJ. And where someone is restricted by thier lot space when they add on.

Thanks for sharing your garage.

Welcome to the GJ. That is quite a spacious 2 car garage, plenty of room. Good job on the lighting. So I didn't see any plans besides cabinets. Is that all your going to do or are you still deciding what to do with all that space?

Welcome to GJ, if there were any condos around me with that much garage space when I was looking for one, I would have definitely jumped on it. You have 3 times the amount of space than I have in my garage. Nice dubs too!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone

Yeah there's really a lot of space in there even with both cars. I love the layout and the fact that it opens up to be wider once you get in there a little bit.

Love the imola gti.:)
Thank you, coming up on 10 years of owning it soon. Yours looks really clean too.

Looks almost wide enough to fit 4 cars in there... Cool place!
Thanks; we fit 3 cars, a motorcycle and an air matress in there one weekend and still had plenty of room to hang out.

mk4 is awesome. This garage is spacious.
Thanks the gti is currently ripped apart, hoping to have everything done on it soon. Fixing the rip in the seat and a few other interior things, redoing a lot of the airride with full hardline setup, few other things also.

I don't have the size of it off hand, I think I have it written down somewhere at home in a stack of receipts and other things. I'm located in Bothell, WA; about 30 minutes north of Seattle. Definitely don't have any room to add on to the place, but I really have no need to in a townhouse. Maybe some day I'll build a single family home with a big garage or separate shop space.

Still trying to decide what to do with all of the space. I need to build out my tool collection some more, and currently spending way too much money redoing some of the things on the gti since I haven't touched it in a few years.

haha yeah car has been posted a bunch on vortex, but I don't post too much about the garage itself since I don't have very many good pictures of everything that has been done.

It was a nice selling point when I was looking, definitely bigger than any of the other townhomes/condos in the area. Thanks

Finished the upper cabinets last weekend, also put up some new shelving in the back of the garage a few weeks ago. Looks 100x better than the make shift wood ones my old roommate built a few years back.

Haven't been on here in months.. no real changes either.

My dad built a cool snowboard rack though, hung it over the weekend. Need to get rid of the mattress and some other random stuff still

Nothing really new besides a TV and some banners. Been storing a buddies car for him while he works on his new house/garage

Your a good friend! Luckily you have more than enough room. Especially for an mk3 done up with ABT goodies.
Yeah we just stuffed both of them in the back and my daily still fits up front with tons of room. Currently waiting on my new wheels to show up so not driving the gti at the moment; I don't mind staring at his ABT Widebody mk3 every time I go into the garage.

nice space, can you fit four cars in there?
If they were small small cars like mk1 rabbits or something it might be doable but would take some work. Three seems to be about the most I can fit and still have some space to open doors and walk around

Not my garage.. but the car was been down at Griots in Tacoma for the full month of November. Went and picked it up this past weekend, they had moved it to their detailing area... After seeing how nice it was in there I really am tempted to paint my floor and get a nice rubber matt to park on too..
