I have been a member for quit a while. Never active and rarely lurked. Well I have been doing research to get ideas on redoing my shop, lift reviews etc...

I came across this thread and I was inspired to take my shop to another level. I'm pretty much ripping off most of his ideas to some degree or another. Heck happened by chance that I even recently acquired the same lift.

Here are pics of my shop the last time it was neat.

this area is under a loft and has plastic wrap that comes down to make it a temp paint booth.

It recently got to the point where I couldn't walk in there at all. There was a two post lift laying on the floor, another 80 gallon air compressor, oven, sand blast cabinet, a few sets of car wheels, bunch of used race tires for the bikes, a Mazda Miata, and NOTHING was organized.

Imagine all the ish out side stuffed inside...

a miata parked inside the other side (you can see the hood over the ****)
the lift is on the floor down there too

this is the **** (some) inside the spray booth

and here was the first step in the right direction, i turned this cart into my welding cart... (it's going to get a side wall panel to organize the cables and an extension to hang another bottle in the back.

and the goal ( i have this printed out and in front of me in my cubicle

and there were ideas stolen from a bunch of others as well. I will give credit where credit is due as progress happens.

Nice compressor! The welding rack looks ready made. Remember he more places for stuff the more stuff you end up with. On the other hand the more room you have the easer it is to find things and the less work time spent digging around or knocking stuff over :)

i don't think I could end up with more stuff cause the stuff I have already will fill the places I'm creating to put them. LMAO!

i LOVE that compressor. SO much quieter than the already nice 80 gallon husky. thing has an oil filter and oil pressure gauge, seeing it makes me grin every time.
