Wisotta is still in business, however they stopped making bench grinders 10 or so years ago. They only make ice skate grinders now. Wisotta is one of the best grinders out there, they made SO's bench grinders for years. I have no idea if they made Milwaukee's, I always figured being a power tool company, it was in their wheel house to make their own.

No. Milwaukee grinders were made by Wissota for several years. Wissota also made a couple of models of grinders for Delta for a few years in the 1980s to early 90s, and for Snap-On, and for a few other companies as well.

As bobcatdan said, they're not making general-purpose grinders anymore, just ice skate sharpeners.

as far as I am concerned, nobody makes a better bench grinder than wissota. great find for that price.

wissota is wissota, they made grinders for all the top brands. baldor is its self, another good grinder but in my opinion not as good as a wissota

I have a few grinders the stand is the real reason i picked it up for my old rockwell

From the front I thought it was a square tube, then that top down pic showed a rather rectangular shape.

I would have paid 30$ just for that stand

that stand would look AWESOME if it was blasted and painted with Hemi Orange automotive paint and a show car finish to go with it!

I've got one cover on mine. If you can weld, you can make one easily. I'll get y'all a picture later. Gotta get on a conference call. Remind me if I forget. And Jabber - I found a P&C you might want.
