Does anyone have any insight on the current situation with the NAT Triumph C 7000? Still would like to purchase something very similar to this lift if its no longer available and not going to be available in the future.

Several members have sent me PM's on this lift since I started the group buy thread. I suggest you contact Nathan Clark and get the word straight from him instead of asking for information here as it's only going to be unofficial/speculation at this point. That's why I had the thread I started closed.

You can find Mr. Clark's contact information here:
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=3515069&postcount=3

Again, I have no ties or interest/stake in the C7000 or National Auto Tools or any one associated with the company. As I noted before, I've received several PM's from people interested in buying so since this thread popped up, I figured it would be worth posting my response to those PM's here so I can stop getting the PM's asking for the details.

Thanks Wes, but I know the situation with NAT, but does anyone know of another lift that is currently available with similar weight limits and height?

You clearly said:

This part:

but does anyone know of another lift that is currently available with similar weight limits and height?

Does sound a bit more like this part of your first post:
Still would like to purchase something very similar to this lift if its no longer available and not going to be available in the future.

There's nothing else on the market with the lifting height that the C7000 offers and can be moved without having to reset cables and lines. There are some lifts available that look the part, but only have the lifting capacity and height of the MaxJax...

For example, this product is somewhat close to the C7000:
http://www.liftsuperstore.com/products/2-post-lifts-2/item/1-2-post-lifts/51-fastback-ml-6000lbs

But they don't have the higher lifting capacity and it's still a few feet short of the C7000's lift height.

I was told directly that there is a legal claim about the use of the word "portable" with the lift. I'm willing to bet that some US based manufacturer of portable lifts (I don't know which one, but I can hazard a guess ) has filed a claim against them, which would explain why the lift posted by Wangstang [http://www.liftsuperstore.com/products/2-post-lifts/item/1-2-post-lifts/51-fastback-ml-6000lbs] is now only available in Canada (used to be you could buy it in the US).

They indicated they intend to build some more once they clear this hurdle, but at the time (a month or two ago), there was no ETA. Based on smg's post, it appears they have a target time frame in mind now to restart. Good to hear, as I want to purchase one.

Too much worry. Any competent fabricator can duplicate any part of a lift. Hoses, cables and power units are mostly universal, easily cut to length. Take a Xanex and relax!

And besides, it is a Chinese lift made with Chinese components just like all the other brand name Chinese lifts out there, the parts are near the same if not the same.

Awesome lift. I've had 4 different cars on mine. Formulating a plate accessory now to lift my Harley with it.

I hope they sell them again because it is a great lift. i have had mine since January and couldn't be happier with it. BTW I was told by National that the cylinders and lift arms were the same as their 9000 lb 2 post. only difference is the hydraulic splitter unit vs cables and the taller posts on the 9000. So should still be able to get parts if needed.

Haven't heard a thing from NAT since I was last told they had them being manufactured again. Sure wish we would find out one way or another what the story is at this point if they will carry this lift again. It would fit my needs perfectly still.

Got this from nathan Clark this morning...

The C-7000 is back in production and will be in stock and ready to ship within 30 days from now. Per the terms of Dannmar’s conditions the lift will no longer be shipped with the two wheels that bolt on the bottom of the legs. We have been asked with extreme prejudice to not produce a mobile lift for sale in the US, removing the wheels is our only way to make the lift “non-mobile”, however nothing else will be changed.

Upon reactivation on our site, we will keep the price at the Group Buy price for the first month to allow interested parties a chance to buy at the old price from before everything went a bit south.

Thank you for being understanding and giving us time to sort this out.

Got the same message. I'm assuming that the wheels will just be omitted and no real design change is happening, which will make it an easy mod to add them if you wish.

Yes it is back. I checked with NAT and they have a few more available in their current shipment.

Only thing is that it will no longer include the wheels as part of the settlement. If someone who purchased this lift earlier in the year would be able to send us pictures of the wheels and such, we can modify these current runs to be mobile again.

Jacobsed,

Would you please take photos of the wheels and also get us measurements of the overall diameter and bolt size used?

SMG908, I could but I'm sure if you called national they would just tell you what you need.

Did you actually call and ask? If you emailed Nate I'm sure he'd tell you.

That's who I've also been in contact with. He wishes he could, but he can't. Just told me they were 2000psi hard rubber wheels with bearings. He couldn't tell me any more due to the ruling and their promise to Dannmar. So anyone with a previously owned unit, please let us know what size the wheels are.

I wonder if you called them to ask if you could purchase replacement wheels (as if you owned the lift before the ruling). I don't see an issue with selling the wheels separately.

I would think so. I find the whole thing to be silly. I mean really, the only sticking legal issue was the wheels? I would think the pump on a cart with the gear flow divider would have been the main thing.
