Reserved a set for in store pick up for $19.99!
Im buying this set after recieving my new SK suregrip screwdriver set and was less than impressed with the quality of the handles. I didnt want to spend a whole bunch more money on screwdrivers after buying the sk set but saw this set and couldnt pass it up for 20 bucks and ive been on a red and black handle craftsman professional kick lately. So far everything from their pro line ive really liked for the money. Does anyone have some of these screwdrivers? How do you like them?

I've never had the S-K sure grips in my hand. But from what I've read they are identical except for the color. I really like my Craftsman set, at a fraction of the price of S-K

I think he's talking about the solid green hard handled SK screwdrivers, not the comfort grip models made by western forge in green/black for SK.

The problem with the new SK solid green hard handle screwdrivers is that, they took pry bar handles and stuck them on screwdriver shafts. The new handles are supposed to be a lot tougher and more durable but, they **** as far as comfort, balance, and turning.:wtf:

SK needs to taper the handle and make it more like the old French made drivers if they want to sell any.

If you want a great screwdriver set, buy the new Proto quad lobe or Duratec screwdrivers.

I like these screwdrivers, but note that this set isn't very "all inclusive"... I have a bigger set I recently found discounted, but this set seems to have smaller drivers.

Phillips P0 x 3, P1 X 4, P2 X 4
Slotted 1/8 x 3-in, 3/16 x 4-in, 1/4 x 4-in

You will like the Cman pro drivers. I have a few and like the feel and quality. And this is from a guy who loves his SO hard handles.

My bad. Had them mixed up. Agree with Fedwrench on the newer hard plastic handles on the S-K. If that is what you have, you'll really like the CM pros

Yeah im talking about the usa made suregrips with a hard plastic green handle. I never noyiced its pretty much a pry bar handle on them. Dint get me wrong their still a decent screwdriver but the handles are sub par.

I originally wanted the HUGE set of Craftsman Pro Screwdrivers (pictured)...:bounce::bounce::bounce:

But I was swayed towards the Proto Classic Professional Yellow handles...:drool::drool:

Mainly by price...

Either screwdriver set will definitely "float your boat"...:thumbup::thumbup:

I'm a huge fan of Craftsman pro drivers. They have stood up to hard use better than my Weras, and at least as well as Protos. No they aren't at the level of snap-on comfort grip, but they are damn good.

That particular set seems like a good, cheap set. Would be a perfect replacement for regular craftsman hard handles, which ****.

For that price why not try em?

I love the torx set. For what interior use I do the extra expense wasn't worth tool truck prices.

Thanks for the heads up! Just ran over to Sears and picked up the 6 pc. set. They feel very comfy in hand. My old Craftsman set isn't uncomfortable, but these are better.

And for $19.99 plus I received a $5 coupon the next time spending $35+, you can't go wrong!

The difference is the tips. The standard craftsman drivers have very soft tips that don't last.

These have nice ground (not stamped) and hardened tips.

That's good to know Deskmechanic. My existing set is 30 years old, seen quite a bit of use (and abuse) and haven't had a noticeable wear issue. However, the extra hardness sure won't hurt :)

Ordered a set, I like my dad's and heck, you can never have enough screwdrivers. I have instincts in my box but these will prob. replace the normal cman in my truck.

Picking mine up tomorrow. Finally an upgrade over my regular Craftsman screwdrivers, at least until I have the money to spend on a set of Williams.

I have a pretty complete set of them. I also own a snap on and Williams set. The acr on the Phillips really sets them apart. Other than that the craftsman pros are great and usually my go to drivers. The torx drivers are nice because they are longer than the snap on set I have. The craftsman pros are one of the best bang for the buck tools in the entire store

Ordered mine tonight for pickup tomorrow. I apparently got the last set in stock at my local store :rocker:

Same here. Picked mine up and had to fight the urge to buy up all of the loose Pro screwdrivers that were on sale (all the ones I'd actually use were only a couple bucks off). Glad to finally have something nicer than my regular CMs. I've always loved the CM pro handles since I bought my picks years ago.

I wish they would've doubled down and expanded the US Pro line of tools, then I would still be a proud CM fan. Had to watch a guy yell about trading out his old flex head ratchet for a Chinese one for the 10 minutes I was in the store.
