I've removed two engines and transmissions in my new garage and the Wolverine flooring is holding up well. I've rolled the engine hoist over the floor both with and without an engine and transmission on it, also have rolled floor jack over floor. Floor gets surface scratches but that I would think is normal.

Chemicals so far that have no effect have been, gas, engine oil, power steering fluid, atf fluid, coolant, and brake parts cleaner.

Floor looks clean even when it is not due to liquidtile color and chip color.

Dropping tools on the floor does not seem to do any real damage; they also do not have that loud ring when you drop on regular concrete, sound is quite muffled.

How high is the ceiling over the lift area?
14' which is high enough to have a full size Mercedes on the lift at heighest point with the hood raise and on a Mercedes the hood raises completely vertical. Can also raise and lower garage door with car on lift at heighest point.

Steve at Ultimate Garage was consultant on project and helped with the design.

The base coat is Wolverine Coatings LiquaTile 1184 in "Sand Beige." WCC is about to add some new colors and mix up the palette a bit, but I don't know which existing ones make the cut and which will join periwinkle in the scrapheap of pigments past.

The DecoFlakes are a custom blend - we'll call it "Ron's Rhapsody," at least for tonight:) It's a fairly light density broadcast, about 0.05 pounds per square foot.

Here's the sample we did for Ron, the board size is 12" by 12" and like most of our DecoFlake samples there is no clear coat applied:

Wow, nice shine! Did you add any texture? Did you seal the chips with clear epoxy then use polyurethane?

Looking back at the order the floor does have about a pound of SuperGrip 850 added to the clear coat layer, which is Wolverine Coatings BondTite 1101.

If you like the gloss sheen of that floor, you'll love the look of the EnduraShield 2254 clear coat. It's crystal clear, UV resistant, and also harder. It was only available to commercial contractors when Ron did his floor, but has since been made available to the DIY market.
