In stock again. They are $84.99, but these stubbies are VERY COUPON FRIENDLY. So actual cost out the door could be much less that $84.99 depending on coupons used and coupon stacking.

Really nice quality full polish stubby set. Nice broaching on the box end, nice claw on the open end, nice chrome, nice feel in the hand. A+ all around. Made in the USA.

Get them while they got 'em.

Dang, I was just thinking that I really needed a set of stubbies but was wondering if I shouldn't get gearwrenches rather than regular combos.

Can anyone confirm this set is in fact made in USA? Seems odd that it would be (although I wouldn't complain) and I don't know how to confirm without just ordering.

Also, why no 11mm...? rather have that than the seldom used 20mm.

Good to know and thank you. Sitting in my cart now, coupon code "SAVE15" works to bring this down to $70, free shipping. Just need to decide if I should buy these or just wait and get gearwrenches. The lack of an 11mm really irks me, it doesn't appear that there was ever one made at all in this series (as determined by trying to extrapolate what its part number would be and searching for it) I don't have any points left, used them on my prybars the other day (you guys are a bad influence.)

Well I stopped resisting and since Zoro had a sale on today as well I picked this up and a SK stubby 11mm to fill out the set. Thanks guys, now I have a full stubby set coming for under $100.

what are you guys using an 11 for? I'm not aware of any metric standard that uses it but if there were 7/16" would work perfectly

DIN 7mm bolts use 11mm wrench, I've also used it on lots of automotive applications, can't think of a specific one at the moment though. I can honestly say that I've used pretty much every mm increment size between 10mm and 21mm. Metric is a mess.

Edit: pretty sure I've used 11mm on various caliper to slider pin bolts. usually Japanese or American

I guess it is time to put my money where my mouth is and pay a reasonable price for nice USA tools...

I'm not a Craftsman fan in general, but I picked a set up and they are very nice! You cant come near these for the price unless you go with Asian tools.

Keep checking every couple of days. They went out of stock a couple of weeks ago, but quickly came back into stock.

Got mine today, they're still USA made, thanks so much EdJack. My wallet is hurting since I just started really following this board, but these are really nice wrenches. My package from Zoro with the 11mm S-K stubby showed up on the same truck so all my stubby needs should be covered, I just have to resist the temptation to "fill out the set" and order every other wrench available :)

I would totally have gone for that, save my local Lowes doesn't have them, and also the sets are missing a lot of sizes that I could see myself using. The Craftsman set was really only missing the 11 and 21, and the latter is marginally useful in stubby anyway. I hate thinking that I have "the set" and then finding that I need a tool I don't have, which is what makes me check the sizes of any set that I'm considering purchasing. Filling in the missing sizes from the Kobalt set off the rack with Craftsman or SK would probably raise the price above the sale + coupon price of the Craftsman set.

Patriotism? Don't you drive a GM or Ford that's made in Mexico? Why not buy US made Honda or Toyota?

Obviously a lot of peeps like you are confused with COO vs patriotism. I guess lets boycott all purchasing from lowes, homedepot, or Walmart so that millions of workers be laid off and go on welfare
The Asians thank you for your patriotism.

I bought the Kobalt for tool bags and the Craftsman for the box. The Kobalt is missing sizes I use a lot too.

I *prefer* to buy USA made tools but sometimes it's not an option or not economically viable. I do tend to always buy what I perceive to be acceptable quality tools that fit my anticipated needs however. It's nearly physically painful for me to buy a tool that I know is a throwaway.

Nope, my 2 Ford's and 1 Chevy were all made in USA.........my other Ford and VW were made in Europe; the continent that doesn't flood our economy with low priced garbage. I like Toyota and Honda, but they are Japanese, which is a positive economic partner.

In all honesty. The above Kobalt sets are for my sons, ages 5 and 7. I have a ton of Craftsman, Snap on, Matco, and on and on. The Kobalt stubbies are perfect for the kids, if they leave them laying In the dirt or lose them at 7 bucks a set it's no skin off my back. I have no problem buying Asian...

Just got mine from this weekends order, I gotta say thanks op for the heads up. With the combination of some bonus points, current points and coupon code I was able to get them for ~$64. And made in USA still. I wish sears would consider keeping a full lineup that is made in the USA for us that want it.
