What did you set the poles in/ on? Just wondering if you used a sono-tube or just a concrete cookie in the bottom of the holes? I am hoping to get started on a 40x 60 soon. Thanks, Jonesy.

I used 12'' pads for most holes. I used 16'' for where we butted 2 poles together for carrying the header over the 16' door and 10'' ones for the 4''x6'' poles that framed the entry door and the patio slider. The holes drilled very easy and we had very hard clay just at the bottom of the holes. -MATT

WOW!
So your wife is cool on having a garage that is (looks in the pics) bigger than the homestead????

Actually I was going to go smaller but my wife talked me out of it saying I would not be happy with it. Now that is a good woman there!:)

Chevelle? Car pics??

Heres the 65' Chevelle Delux I towed home from Southern Indiana a few years ago. It looked good standing back a few feet.

  5. innner and outer wheel wells

Today is the end of week 3. We've made some good progress and taken a few days off here and there. Finished up the soffit and facia(spelling?) yesterday. Jim wouldn't let me install, just cut. Turned out fantastic!

Well we have to wait 5 more days for windows. Let me tell you about Michigan if you don't know or haven't heard. When we started a few weeks ago we got sleet. Then we shingled in 70* comfort and t-shirts. The last few days has been snowing and cold. Makes siding very enjoyable. Anyhow, heres a few more pics.
