He's been trying to sell the Searsport location for a number of years, but no takers.
I spent many happy hours digging through every nook and cranny of that place (including the basement and attic) 20yrs ago. I always walked out with a lighter wallet.
That place/business really should be on the national historic registry -- sure wish it was closer to me -- definitely a national treasure of an almost bygone era!
I 've been there and can tell you if it's used and some vintagee tools you're after, this is the place for you. But I only came out of there with a few taps and dies.
Well ****, I just realized my parents dragged me there as a little kid. I think I bought a hand plane, because for some reason, I liked planes more than I should have, and had no interest in automotive stuff, like I do now. I didn't properly appreciate the place. Maybe because maine was full of awesome little junk and tool shops that I didn't properly appreciate.
