I know this goes on sale regularly but this is the cheapest I've seen it in a while. I've been looking for a good deal on a set for my brother and this fits the bill nicely, thought some other at be interested too.

Edit: Use coupon code save15 to make it $174.99 before tax, thanks to LB-1911 for the coupon code.

For SYWR members, TOOLS20 for $20 off. Won't stack with SAVE15.

Also, I wonder if the stores without a lot of traffic still have the Black Friday sets with the bonus tools (20 or 25 pieces?).

I'm going to try and score a USA made set...hopefully they still have some left.

The USA ones are in a slightly larger box, maybe 1.5X as tall as the newer boxes. The first Chinese sets were in the same size box, but then they brought out the smaller one. Hopefully that helps in your search! My Sears had one left until about a month ago. I kept debating on it, waiting for a sale like this...but somebody else beat me to it!

If you have the shop your way app, and are a shop your way member (free) on your phone, open it and click "shop in" then select a store near you (doesn't seem to matter which one) then once it loads, select deals. they typically have been having a $15 in points back on $80 in orders that will stack with the SAVE15. (it has also shown up as $8 off and $4 in points, but it all seems to stack with SAVE15)...

You may want to log into shopyourway.com. go to apps. select coupons and see what else is in there, they have has $15 in points back on $75 to 80 that stacks with the save15 as an alternate (depends on the day what is offered though)

Interesting... I get $12 in points on $55 or more and $6 off and $4 in points.

Also, someone earlier mentioned TOOLS20... How have I never used that!?

TOOLS20 tends to be limited in when you can use it. I have yet to make it work for me (but I'm often doing odd combinations of sale/clearance/hot buy stuff)

I forgot to mention that if you have a discover card you can go to shopdiscover.com and link to sears from there to get 10% back on your cards rewards

$169.24 out the door, I had some surprise I used with the TOOLS20 code, pretty decent deal if you ask me, hopefully I'll score an NOS set, doubtful but one can hope. My brother should be pretty happy with this set.

Went to the store, walked out with one for $138 out the door. No idea how that happened.

It's hard to believe that Craftsman has gone Chinese with their hand tools too. I bought a Chinese made Craftsman Pro hammer drill 4 years ago. It started smoking at 13 months even though I only used it twice for a total run time of 3 hours. I stopped buying their power tools after that. I have a few pieces of USA made power tools that are very old and work great. I have a big set of USA made Craftsman sockets/wrenches similar to this set. Very nice set.

That's a good set for a good price. I'm glad I got mine last year while they were still USA made.

I've been on the fence about this set for a couple years. I just ordered the set - price was down to $170.99, and TOOLS20 worked. With the couple bucks in reward points from the garage door openers I bought earlier today, I paid $159.26 including tax.

Great deal - thanks OP!
