A Wilton bullet dropped off by a friend today! He was getting paid to clear out a storage unit as part of an estate settlement after the family had finished taking what they wanted. He's a great scrounger, so I'd asked him to keep his eyes open for a big old vise for me ... this was the first one he encountered. It cost him nothing, so he gave it to me.

It had a few weld BB's on it, they popped right off with a sharp cold chisel.
Jaw inserts are good. No cracks. Dust cap is intact. Small anvil, nice and flat. No major dings. One garter screw missing. Handle is pretty staight, but not perfect.
Any idea on the age?

I'd be grinning like a Cheshire cat if I were you. Nice acquisition.
