home made exhaust system I built a while back. a lot of diesel engines run in shop, and shop is built very "tight" and heated/ac so don't like wasting energy leaving doors open
old furnace fan, welded adaptor onto side to my inlet. outlet was welded into a funnel shape to accept a 5" exhaust pipe which runs through wall to outside and is capped with a semi truck rain cap with a light spring to hold shut to keep outside air out when not in use
my inlet side has a T which will allow it to **** down the wall tube and into my rubber flex section, other end of t goes to ceiling with another truck rain cap and a spring to hold shut. has a manual pull cord to prop cap open to **** diesel exhaust and other continuants from ceiling.
metal pipe is "insulated" style with an airgap between the inner and outer pipe, resulting in outer pipe not getting hot
the rubber hose is 24' with a truck exhaust for a U in the middle for the length heading back towards ground, hooked to an old air hose reel with rope wound up on it, so when not in use it hangs verticle and no hose to trip on.
easily reaches my two lift bays for tailpipes.
