Secret Santa for Senior Members

What I am proposing is that we get something for another member that we think they would want based upon how we have gotten to know them.

It could be new or something that we already have in our toolbox.

The idea works like this:

If you are interested in participating then post that you are willing to participate.

If we have 20+ people who are interested, then we will move forward.

After we have 20+ people; Send your mail information to me via PM.

You will be matched up with another member. You won't know your secret Santa.

You will get another users ID name and address.

It is up to you to send them a gift (tool related) that you think they would like. Arriving No later than the 20th of December.

Postage would be paid by the sender.

We post on Christmas day what our Santa’s got us.

Suggestions welcome.

I intentionally left a budget off.

I propose we get what the other person would like. If you have the means, then by all means......

LOL, a photo of the gift should be required to be posted on Christmas Eve with the gift still wrapped next to a newspaper dated the 24th, that way we know everyone waited. I'm just kidding of course, too much trouble to do, I'd like to know how many people waited though. I know I probably won't, yeah I know, childish , but I'm a overgrown child at times, at least that's what my wife says.

B&W Pit... check out elfster.com for a quick/easy way to get this going. Basically you send "evites" to folks and they can accept/decline. You can make a "wishlist", etc. I'm not sure if you were already thinking of using that or not.

I agree on the about $25. Depending on who I get, something out of the toolbox might
also be an option (in addition to something new).

Should we have a cut-off date for entries so we have some time to do a bit of research,
pick something, get it and ship it out?

I would be in. I only "know" Billymade(VW) or Merkava(SO) well enough to give the right, exactly right thing, though,maybe Krusty(Harley),etc...Not a demand, on who I get, but I at least have, a cool tool,for any of the three. :thumbup:

I'm actually more worried about duplicates then anything else. I think anybody hanging out here will be able to come up with something neat. I've been wanting to finally post something in the toolbox thread and need to take pics anyway for the insurance. Might be a good idea to post it before 12/5
