Wow those are good prices. Those wobble head ratchets intrigue me. I think I'm going to pick up a set of those lug sockets. Another thing I've wanted but never really pulled the trigger since most of the time my impact sockets work. But the plastic coating and thin wall would be nice.

This is unique. I've had problems with dirt/rust killing allen head bolts due to lack of engagement in the past. Does this have a cam'd tip on the tool? Very good idea.

P.S. on the 1/2 dual purpose impact sockets... I probably shouldn't put those on a 780ft-lbs impact gun, right? ;-)

Hello again Nick,
I am not sure if this is what you were referring to but here is a picture of the patentended tip which turns non-concentricly.

I can't understand how this works. I'm sure I am being dense, but just not getting it. Presumably that tip part doesn't just rotate freely. :headscrat

Here's a little bit on how it works:

There is already a good amount of resistance built into the eccentric rotating head, but it also had max rotation stops for each direction tailored for extraction use.

Here it in the the standard position:

Its clockwise rotation stops soon, as you're not often using these to fasten allen bolts.

It's counter-clockwise rotation has about a 90 degree stop maximizing the head's offset to dig into the insides of the allen socket head cap.

Here are pictures of that offset:

So basically: as you apply torque to the tool, the hex stud expands and the contact surface within the allen socket head cap increases.

Do you make those in standard also? Really thinking on the metric set and wobble ratchets

Clever concept. If I understand it correctly, it acts like an expanding hex, at least in 2 directions. I bet the metric would work in a standard bolt in all but the worst cases.

I'm not sure if this method is any better than the fluted or square tapered style, but it's an interesting concept!

are the hex extractors covered by any kind of warranty? the eccentric part that looks like it's doing most work seems weak?
