For large Allen head bolts...:D

The forklifts I drive have a lot of these on them. The forks are each held on with about 6 large bolts each...

I have nothing useful to contribute, but there's a 7/8" in the far right of this picture that I use frequently. :D

Our pumps have 1" recessed hex on the nose cones, and the studs that hold the discharge flanges in place have 12 pt recessed nuts, that are at least 1".

If I remember, I will take a picture of an HT-400, and I will see how a HT-2000, or a Q-10 is put together.

Crane turntable bearings. I use 5/8 hex for the ones I work on. 14mm on other stuff as well.

My box at work has a full set upto 22mm, the store at work has a 32mm inhex, that thing is huge! Seems to get used pretty frequently too. Then again 75mm wrenches and 1 1/2 drive sockets aren't that uncommon at work either. Obviously these are used on big fasteners, usually on smelting and drilling equipment.

I was in a local place that specialises in stuff for big rig trucks and trailers. They have a big display of 1" drive stuff, it's huge!

Correct. I've used 17/19mm hex before with just the "allen" wrench, and it was enough to break it loose. Even a 3/4" hex on a 1/2 drive would work for a lot....I was just figuring on a 3/4" drive, it must be for something that was TIGHT!

I was looking at the SERVA high-pressure pumps on a Schlumberger cement unit yesterday, and the discharge caps on the fluid end have at least a 1 1/2 inch recessed hex for removing and installing the caps.

This link is to a picture of a cementing unit with 2 Triplex (3 plunger pumps), http://www.servagroup.com/images/pdfs/cement_pumpers/SGH-Cementer_DoublePump.pdf the attached picture is of a Quintinplex (5 plunger) used for hydraulic fracturing service.
