Ratchet expert help needed.

Any info on this brand?

3/8" drive CB-56

Has been owned previously by an abuser. I think it resembles Williams/TRW/Hornet although the head is smaller than my Williams Tri-Wing and there's more of a recessed gap around where the mechanism is.

Hourly employee perhaps.Proof that humans are idiots. Ratchet=hammer=prybar= ?
Reminds me of an old Thorsen I have on the boat. Probably a decent ratchet in the day.

I'm going with Williams, too. Shape, part number, and selector all match up. I've never seen the New Britain ratchet (Husky, etc) with a tri-wing selector. I have seen a Duro/Indestro ratchet with a similar selector, but the shape of the head, handle, etc is all wrong.

Speaking of the Tri-wing Williams ratchets, does anyone know when they were made? They are not in my 1978 Williams catalog.

Sure looks like a 3/8" Williams BB-56 to me - and the identical Williams-sourced Hornet and TRW branded versions.

Geeze, now I've got ANOTHER brand to be on the lookout for, like 124+ wasn't enough...:eyecrazy:

Updating this thread because I came across a handful of Columbia sockets at a flea market. No set unfortunately. This was all as I dug through a bucket of sockets one by one hoping they were all there.

Any information appreciated.

Would be nice to determine when and through whom these were sold.
