I have the FHF80 Ratchet. For me it's a great general purpose ratchet. Its over 9 inch length means it has enough umph to break most automotive fasteners loose without being too long. Snap on doesn't make an all chrome one. I think they should. I think having the flex head on the FHF80 gives you the clearance you would need rendering the offset handle on the FHO80 redundant but, that's just me. Your results may vary.

I like the FHOF since you often need the flex to get around something right in the vicinity of the nut or bolt. The FHOF allows you to do just that but keeps the actual handle more perpendicular to the axis of the nut (more torque, better feel). Just my two cents, though. And I don't have an FHF, so I can't compare. The closest thing I have would be the FX80 (which I also love), but that's a different beast...

I think most know about the benefits of having a flex head.

I have a FHOF80 and really like the offset bend in the handle. It puts the hand in a more natural, neutral position, which I find very comfortable (assuming you're working on top of something). Like zuspiel said, the handle is more parallel to the plane of the nut. I've found the offset to be useful where a straight handle wouldn't fit. I've also used the ratchet with the handle flexed down and it's pretty handy. Having said that, I think either ratchet would be fine.

Snapmom has the same ratchet and it looks like she flipped the handle around. Last picture is her drawer, not mine.

Between the two I feel like I have more control with the FHF80 then with the FHOF80 when using it on high torque applications. But then again, nothing can replace the FHOF80 when you need it. I like my knuckles.:bounce:

I have the FHOF 936 I use a lot, an older hard handle long flex 3/8, an FHL80, and a 3/8 in a flex comfort handle 1/4 body. I use them all and I am glad I have them.

I would go with the FHOF80, once you use it you will wonder why you didnt have it before. It has more control than the other. It is an excellet ratchet!!

I have tried the FHOF80 and I think it'll be my next ratchet purchase. As others have said, it just seems to give a more natural angle in some applications. That and it seems like it would save your knuckles and fingers in those situations if something slipped or if the fastener broke free unexpectedly.
now, if Snap On would find a way to make a locking version of it I'd be a happy camper!

Never found enough use for an offset handle to justify buying one. The flex handle will get your hand up. The offest handle would be rough in tight spaces.
