Hey guys, saw this at my local welding supply. Metabo has a new flat head design for the standard 4.5" angle grinder. Allowing the head to get into 45 degree pockets. (also comes in cordless).

Pretty interesting, anybody here have experience with it?

Yep, definitely need one. I'm SO tired of running 12" flap discs on my 4" angle grinder to accomplish this.

Its about $229 street price, Amazon has it on Prime.

The body is definitely a bit longer, but if you find yourself needing to grind in tight angled spaces I bet this is the ticket. Usually I just want a really small bodied grinder, I like my Hitachi 6.5amp grinder for that. My Feins are nice, but definitely way longer.

I would like to see somebody come out with a interchangeable head, like the Festool guns.

Milwaukee has the Sawsall and Metabo has grinders figured out. They have done it better and longer than anybody else. When I need a Sawsall I buy Milwaukee, when I need a grinder Deutschland, Deutschland über alles

I saw these in person earlier this month at STAFDA in Charlotte, NC. I did not realize that they were a brand new item....but they did look & feel very well made.
