Big *** Lights

They are quite proud of their fixtures!

I had one of our lighting designers here at work layout my new shop building with Big *** 14K lumen high bay fixtures. She was able to get all the calcs from BA and came up with a design that averaged about 80fc.

The design used (18) fixtures for the above mentioned light level -- this is in a 40'x60' (16' walls) red iron / steel building.

BA doesn't sell through distribution; they sell direct. Since we are in the 'business' (engineering), I thought we might be able to get some 'favored' pricing. Not so. The quote she got from them for the fixtures was just over $8000.00.

It did include freight though...

Think I'll find a more 'cost effective' solution!

I looked into adding 6 of those to my garage workshop. They recommended the 10K version for my ceiling height. They were $393 each. I think I'll go with IC cans and LED "bulbs" from H.D.

YA, but u get a free shot glass thru their promo,,,,to make u forget the cost,,lol

I think I'd rather just buy LED replacements for standard 48" T8 fluorescent bulbs. They have dropped a lot in price recently, making it about $50 per fixture to have brighter light without the heat, or cold temperature issues.
