I feel that way about my Dual 80 ratchets. Ever since I bought my first one, I haven't been able to buy anything else. I've tried buying other brands, but nothing has impressed me as much. On 3 different occasions, I've handled the new HF Pro ratchets that everyone raves about, but I can't bring myself to buy one as I would rather spend 4x as much for the Dual 80.
my regular non fuel 1/4" impact driver, i thought long and hard about buying the kit with the drill for 99 dollars but came to the conclusion if it aint broke don't fix it, i'd like to test the long term reliability of this tool 1.5 years in used every single day still killing it like it came out of the box, no need to upgrade until she stops turning.
tree.
For whatever reason it just feels right even though I know I'm supposed to only want the Snap-On Kool-Aid. Don't get me wrong, I like my Snap-On ratchets and get some use out of them, but I no longer feel I need a dual 80 in every drive size, or all the various types when I have some SK standard, flex, long, and swivel covering all the bases.I'm getting that way about looking for some more dual 80s. I always felt like I would be a teardrop ratchet kind of guy, but I could afford the SK first, and now that I have both, well I still keep reaching for the SK?For whatever reason it just feels right even though I know I'm supposed to only want the Snap-On Kool-Aid.
