Christmas has arrived at your house. Make sure to take a bunch of pre-install pics along with the obvious post-install pics.

RD had mixed my2 colors in the top boxes. Allowed Me to get started without having to dig boxes out of the bottom layers of the pallet. Don't forget to leave a space where it buts up against the wall.

That's great service from RD. Too Bad I had to un-palletize and re-stack my boxes so that I could park in there last night..... :wtf:

A little background. About 8 years ago we built an addition onto our house and I got a 1220sf garage / shop out of the deal. It was sort of a dream come true. However, it was big enough that I never got around to spending enough money to do the floor.

We moved last year to the definition of suburbia -- close to family, better schools, sidewalks, street lamps, yadda yadda. (No HOA though -- thought I'd mention that before we go down that trail).

I ended up with a 400 sf garage. :eyecrazy::eyecrazy: I'm not fully moved in. Still have a few things in storage. Had to get a shed. This new garage would make me cry -- usually when I looked at photos of the old place.

But it was small enough I could afford to buy myself some Race Deck for Christmas. I went with the tough shield.

Almost done (except for all the cutting of the edges!). My youngest was a big help:

I still have work to do in the garage, but it's getting there. Will paint, and continue to use slatwall. I wish I could be as minimalist as some are here -- I love that look of a super clean and mean garage --- but it's just not practical for me/us --- we need the space.

Install was easy but hell on my body. It took me longer with my helper than if I would have done it alone, but I'm fine with that. We had fun. Cutting wasn't bad I used my cordless circ and a speed square. I made one bad cut, and ended up being two tiles short. ..But I'm considering replacing the tiles near the door with carpet tiles, so I should have enough. I just need to ask Jorgen for some color samples.

Great product. I like the gloss of the Tuff Shield. Will be interested to see how it holds up.

Cheers :drink:
