I looked for a code, no luck...anyone know of a 50% off code?.... I'm looking at getting the XL Locking Flex head wrench set.

Ad states see store for details...so I'm not for sure if this is for select items?

Anyone know?

It states in the title that the Gearwrench sale is in-store only. There is no code.

Coupons: http://www.retailmenot.com/view/advanceautoparts.com

PC4U123 should be $40 off $100, but unless you're ordering in-store, might as well order $125 and use a $50 off coupon to get free shipping. Shipping is $9.99 at AAP, so you're really only spending $5 more. If you're picking up in-store, ignore me.

Rocket1420, Thanks for the reply..... but I'm still not seeing it, PDF ad only seeing see store for details in ad, and see inside for details on front page.

Are you see this on a website ad?

Correct.....Just giving you all a heads up. It goes til December27th..That is all I know. "See Store for Details" according to the ad.....:willy_nil

77Ford, thanks for the post, apologies if I miss-communicated in a negative way.

Another option, IF it is in store only, GJer's might be able to get a good deal on a socket set..in store..

TRT41, not TRT40. $40 off $100.

just keep upping the number next will be TRT42 ECT until they change the code next month

as for the sale it looks like the same one as last month that was also posted here. The Tool kits IE the 1/4 socket/ratchet set for 15 or the 3/8 set for $20 along with the 20 pc ratcheting wrench set for 49.99 and the 8 pc reversible ratcheting wrench set for $29.99

Didn't notice anything else but was only there a few mins, not much I didn't all ready have and I had to be somewhere else.

pics are in this post of the socket sets

I was just there and found the same. The same stuff that has been on sale for the month. Really good deals if you need/want them. I just have those sets already.

FWIW, I went by advance auto this morning and picked up a set of metric and sae flex head wrenches. They rang up at the regular price. However, I showed them the page in the flyer that said 50% off all gearwrench sets and after some discussions with the manager, they manually applied the discount. However, they would only give me the discount on the wrench sets. I also wanted the extension sets but they said while they were "sets" they weren't "tool sets".

I've been using TRT41 for months, I think that's a semi-permanent one.

Thanks Cardude. I didn't see any 40% offs there, but did see a 35% off. I'm thinking when I am ready to get some new SK, AA with these type deals is probably the best way to go. Tooltopia has SK too, but this looks even slightly better.

Also, I have those SAE/Metric GW 7 piece flex racheting wrench sets and like them alot. That's a good purchase. - Paul

Should be able to order them online if they don't ship to home- get the PN off the Gearwrench website and search it at Advanced. $75 order ships for free.

Okay, I didn't really explain it right. Most of the coupons end up being 40% off... $10 off $25, $20 off $50, $30 off $75, $40 off $100, $50 off $125. That's 40%.

Now, the only coupon really worth using for SK is the $50 off $125, because it puts your order above $75 and you get free shipping. If it's less than that, you pay $9.99 shipping. If you're getting something that you're picking up in-store, then you don't pay shipping or anything, so you can use the lower value coupons.

This is also how I got my Armstrong MAXX flex ratchets in 1/4" and 3/8", and the 3/8 Milwaukee m12 ratchet.

One other note about the coupons... there's often one coupon code that does all of the above. So if you're on retailmenot, just because the start of the description says $10 off $25, doesn't mean that that same coupon won't also take $50 off $125.

Ah thanks Rocket, that helps quite a bit. I did see an actual 35% off coupon there too. Not sure if that was really 35% off any amount or one of these dollar amounts off a set trigger level. On some of the SK, 35% off would be alot more than $50 off $125.

EDIT: Ok I tried the 35% off one. Looks like it maxes out at $50 off, so it is really the same as the $50 off $125 or more level. Still may be the best prices this way on SK I've seen. I love SK. My stuff is all 30 years old though and only 1/4 and 3/8 SAE. Still better sockets than anything else I've ever used (but wright, proto, snap on are right there too) and probably my favorite 1/4 rachet ever. - Paul

The Allen wrench set is a steal too. I bought all 4 of them, for about $11 a piece. It is the 22pc set, metric and sae. model 56618g... They have a decent deal on an Autocraft 2 ton jack, $10 off of $34.99

I picked up the Allen wrench set, too. It was coming up as $11 online last night and then flipped to $16 in my cart for some reason. I went to the store today and they showed it as $11. They had one left and I grabbed it. A decent set.

Was just in Sears. Looks like their normal price for this set is $13.99. Not such a great deal after all.

Who knows?
The ad is misleading. It almost seems that the 50% would apply to GW sets in general, but I believe it is only for select wrench sets. It doesn't even specify any SKU's.
