...And there you have it. A complete custom table in less than thirty photos. Thanks for checking it out.

Well done. Why can't any of you guys be closer. I would gladly commission a dozen pieces from a few of you guys.

Absolutely beautiful work!

Your mastery of both steel and wood finishing is what impresses me the most.

Excellent design and work!

You did keep the top covered/in another area while grinding the steel, right? Learned to do that the hard way myself.

Looks great!! I was totally distracted by your shop though, do you have a thread somewhere showing off all your cool equipment? I saw a knee mill in the corner of one shot...

Vision, design, layout, execution.

Well done.

That is an excellent job.

Definitely one to be proud of.

Hope it brings you years of service, or some very big bucks.

Plans of keeping it, or selling?

Impeccably executed!. And I'm digging that foot mount design as well, a very impressive project.

Fantastic!
What finish did you use for the wood?
Weight of entire table?
Thank you. I used teak oil on the top. I would guess weight around 300lbs. The top is very heavy. The Cumaru boards are very dense tropical hardwoods and each board weighed 35lbs.

Mike,

Beautiful work.

Is the steel treated so it won't rust, or is it intended to rust as part of the final finish?
Thank you. I treat the steel with an oil. It will require some maintenance outdoors though. Im guessing once a year. I have bare-steel pieces inside with the same treatment that are going on six years with no maintenance.
