Siesta Key garage and Master Suite

Well, signed up for with an Architect to start the plans for a replacement garage on Siesta Key, Fl.

The current 2 car "garage" is being torn down and new three car with master suite and game room above is the current thinking.

If interest I will drag the forum along if anyone is interested.


Due to local and FEMA remodel addition is not an option and new building will be about 3 feet higher.

Quick update. This week establishing current as built drawings. Hope to post some rough sketches next week. Been reading lots of other threads for ideas.

This week is the process of putting existing house into CAD so we can figure out elevations and connection points...

Hoping to have a drawing to post next week..

Just so everyone knows, Siesta Key is on the west coast of Florida and is nowhere near the Florida Keys that everyone thinks about. It's very close to Sarasota, about 400 miles from Key West. Nevertheless, a beautiful coastal area. I'll be watching the build.

Well the garage is finally complete. Hurricane coming I can fit 5 cars I think. Installed 6 gladiator hanging cabinets. Need to order more Racedeck to finish the car cleaning side.. I moved from Ohio,stored and reinstalled about 600 sq ft and with quick wash it looks brand new...


Will post up some photos later this week. Driveway still shell while checkbook recovers....

Some photos of the garage. So the almost exact opposite of #money2536. Nothing dedicated. And this took a one hour clean up to get this clean. More cabinets to come.

Notice the ice machine below.

Need about 800 sq ft more #racedeck. So about $2400 worth is next project. This #racedeck was moved from Ohio and reinstalled perfectly. Huge fan..

My Wife and I have spent many vacations on Siesta Key, we stayed at House of the Sun across from Captain Curts. My wife calls the key her "happy place".
